  1. 16. Synthesis, Characterization, and Evaluation of Ag-based Electrical Contact Materials

    Author : Fang Mao; Ulf Jansson; Mikael Olsson; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; electrical contact; bulk; coating; Ag-based alloys; Ag-based delafossite; AgI; graphene; graphene oxide; combinatorial material science; dc magnetron sputtering; friction; wear; hardness; contact resistance;

    Abstract : Ag is a widely used electrical contact material due to its excellent electrical properties. The problems with Ag are that it is soft and has poor tribological properties (high friction and wear in Ag/Ag sliding contacts). READ MORE

  2. 17. Language contact and structural change : An Old Finnish case study

    Author : Merlijn De Smit; Erling Wande; Kaisa Häkkinen; Raimo Anttila; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; Finnish; historical linguistics; language contact; Whitehead; Finnish language; Finska språket;

    Abstract : The object of this study is to shed new light on both the influence exerted on Finnish by the Swedish language, and on the mechanisms by which language contact in structural domains takes place. It is argued that syntactic borrowing should be regarded as a subtype of reanalysis and extension rather than as an independent mechanism. READ MORE

  3. 18. Artificial Intelligence for Non-Contact-Based Driver Health Monitoring

    Author : Hamidur Rahman; Mobyen Uddin Ahmed; Shahina Begum; Peter Funk; Hasan Fleyeh; Mälardalens högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Driver Monitoring; Artificial Intelligence; Machine Learning; Deep Learning; Computer Science; datavetenskap;

    Abstract : In clinical situations, a patient’s physical state is often monitored by sensors attached to the patient, and medical staff are alerted if the patient’s status changes in an undesirable or life-threatening direction. However, in unsupervised situations, such as when driving a vehicle, connecting sensors to the driver is often troublesome and wired sensors may not produce sufficient quality due to factors such as movement and electrical disturbance. 4. 19. An Intelligent Non-Contact based Approach for Monitoring Driver’s Cognitive Load

    Author : Hamidur Rahman; Shahina Begum; Mobyen Uddin Ahmed; Peter Funk; Jerker Westin; Mälardalens högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Computer Science; datavetenskap;

    Abstract : The modern cars have been equipped with advanced technical features to help make driving faster, safer and comfortable. However, to enhance transport security i.e. to avoid unexpected traffic accidents it is necessary to consider a vehicle driver as a part of the environment and need to monitor driver’s health and mental state. 5. 20. Aspects on the hand eczema and the current health care system : the possibility of health related quality of life measure as a tool for follow-up patients

    Author : Wasim N. Jamil; Laura von Kobltezki; Magnus Lindberg; Åke Svensson; Anna Joelson; Tove Agner; Örebro universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Contact eczema; hand eczema; health related quality of life; HRQoL; dermatology life quality index; DLQI; minimal clinical important difference; MCID; patch test; health care system; risk occupations;

    Abstract : Contact eczema is the most common occupational skin disease, and it predominantly affects the hands. Hand eczema is a chronic and fluctuating disease with a multidimensional impact on the patient and society, resulting in an increased consumption of health care, long term sick leave, in voluntary change of occupation, and a risk of early retirement and impaired healthrelated quality of life.
