  1. 1. Three Phase Controlled Fault Interruption Using High Voltage SF6 Circuit Breakers

    Author : Richard Thomas; [2007]
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; controlled switching; high voltage; hypothesis testing; circuit breakers; fault interruption; least mean squares regression; power system protection;

    Abstract : A method is presented for implementing controlled fault interruption,using high voltage, SF6 circuit breakers on three phase high voltage powernetworks. The main goal of the method is to synchronize the opening or tripcommands to each phase of a circuit breaker with respect to target currentzero times so that each phase will interrupt with a preselected arcingtime. 2. 2. Spin-diode effect and thermally controlled switching in magnetic spin-valves

    University dissertation from Stockholm : KTH Royal Institute of Technology

    Author : Sebastian Andersson; KTH.; [2012]
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Abstract : This thesis demonstrates two new device concepts that are based on the tunneling and giant magnetoresistance effects. The first is a semiconductor-free asymmetric magnetic double tunnel junction that is shown to work as a diode, while at the same time exhibiting a record high magnetoresistance. READ MORE

  3. 3. Controlled switching of high voltage SF6 circuit breakers for fault interruption

  4. 4. Cost-effective Cells for High-power Modular Multilevel Converters

    University dissertation from Stockholm : Kungliga Tekniska högskolan

    Author : Matthijs Heuvelmans; KTH.; [2018]
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; MMC; modular multilevel converter; ARCP; IGCT; soft-switching; ZVS; ZCS; snubber; thyristor; SCR; silicon controlled rectifier; HVDC; STATCOM; Electrical Engineering; Elektro- och systemteknik;

    Abstract : The modular multilevel converter (MMC) topology was introduced in 2003and has since been receiving considerable attention from industry and academia.Notable benefits compared to two- or three-level voltage source convertersare its scalability, low switching losses, low output filter requirementsand ease of adding redundancy combined with fail-safe operation. 5. 5. EMC Aspects of PMW Controlled Loads in Vehicles

    University dissertation from Department of Industrial Electrical Engineering and Automation, Lund Institute of Technology

    Author : Sabine Marksell; Lunds universitet.; Lund University.; [2004]
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Abstract : The number of electrically driven loads in a modern vehicle is constantly increasing. Many loads that former were mechanically driven will in the future be driven by electricity. This implies that a number of electronic systems have to be packed together in the limited space in a vehicle. READ MORE
