21. Decentralized Constrained Optimization: a Novel Convergence Analysis
Abstract : One reason for the spectacular success of machine learning models is the appearance of large datasets. These datasets are often generated by different computational units or agents and cannot be processed on a single machine due to memory and computing limitations. READ MORE

22. Convergence Analysis and Design of Multiple Concatenated Codes
Abstract : The objective of this thesis is to develop a methodology for designing efficient multiple concatenated coding schemes, consisting of two or more constituent codes, concatenated in serial or in parallel. Extrinsic information transfer (EXIT) analysis is found to be a suitable and versatile analysis tool for such codes and thus, the design methodology is based almost entirely on this technique. 23. Pretend that it is Real! Convergence Culture in Practice
Abstract : Mediekonvergens definieras och förklaras oftast som en teknisk och industriell företeelse, som den process där ny teknik anpassas till den befintliga medieindustrin och dess produktionskulturer. 25. Interpreting Policy Convergence Between the Left and the Right
Abstract : This dissertation is made up of four essays that address major problems in the policy areas of education and immigration in Sweden and an introductory essay that offers an overarching analysis of the results of the four individual studies. The first three essays analyze the significant decline in quality of elementary and secondary education since the late 1990s from three different angles: the decline in teachers’ working conditions and status (Essay I), the deficiencies in the regulatory framework of Sweden’s system of school competition between public and for-profit providers of education (Essay II), and the prescribed view of knowledge in Swedish schools (Essay III).
