1. From Macromolecular Design to Supramolecular Self-assembly
Abstract : Advancements in drug delivery have enabled a wider array of prevention, control and treatment of diseases such as cancer. Drug delivery systems have the possibility of encapsulating drugs with low solubility, delivering them to specific locations in the body as well as obtaining a controlled and sustained drug release. 2. Melt spinning of poly(vinylidene fluoride) mono- and bicomponent fibres and yarns : the formation of piezoelectric beta-phase crystallinity
Abstract : The present study investigates the possibilities of manufacturing piezoelectric polymer fibres or yarns for integration into textile materials. The polymers known to give the strongest piezoelectric effects are poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) and some of its copolymers. READ MORE

3. Structure, Morphology, and Catalytic Properties of CuOx/CeO2 Model Catalysts
Abstract : Cerium dioxide, or ceria, is a chemically stable oxygen ion conducting material with a capacity to store and release oxygen, and is therefore extensively used in combustion catalysts. The Cu-Ce-O system has been identified as one of the most active catalysts for the combustion of carbon monoxide. READ MORE

4. The influence of Morphology on the Transport and Mechanical Properties of Polyethylene
Abstract : The sorption/desorption behaviour of n-hexane in high molarmass linear polyethylene (PE) and branched PEs with 0.39 and5.09 hexyl branches per 100 main chain C atoms andcrystallinities between 4 and 82% at 298 K has been studied.Crystal core contents determined by Raman spectroscopy werealways lower than those determined by density measurements. 5. Synthesis of zeolites from economic raw materials
Abstract : Synthesis methods using economic raw materials, such as kaolin and diatomite have been developed for the production of zeolites in the present work. Zeolite Y and ZSM-5 have been synthetized successfully from diatomite and kaolin, respectively. READ MORE
