1. Evaluating Resistance to Corona and Ozone in Polymeric Materials for High Voltage Outdoor Applications
Abstract : Resistance to corona discharges and ozone, the well known ageing factors for polymeric materials used in outdoor insulation, has been listed as being of great importance among twelve properties identified by CIGRE WG D1.14 – Material Properties for Non-ceramic Outdoor Insulation. 2. Effects of Corona and Ozone Exposure on Properties of Polymeric Materials for High Voltage Outdoor Applications
Abstract : Despite the past four decades of service experiences with polymeric insulators in power systems all over the world, an adequate standard allowing for proper selection of polymeric materials for applications in high voltage outdoor environments has still been lacking. Therefore CIGRE Working Group D1. READ MORE

3. Electrical Characterization of Partial Discharge Resistant Enamel Insulation
Abstract : Adjustable speed drives for rotating machines have become increasingly popular as they provide possibilities of smooth and accurate process control as well as for energy savings. In such systems, due to the fact that the voltage applied at terminals of motor windings is no longer purely sinusoidal but characterized by a high content of harmonics, the appearing electrical and thermal stresses yield premature failures of the winding insulation, mainly because of an increased partial discharge (PD) activity. 4. Engineering Epitaxial Graphene for Quantum Metrology
Abstract : Quantum resistance metrology deals both with the precise and accurate measurement of electrical resistance, by utilizing the quantum hall effect (QHE) in two-dimensional electron gases (2DEGs) such as those based on gallium arsenide (GaAs). Due to the unique properties of graphene, and specifically epitaxial graphene grown on silicon carbide (SiC/G), quantum Hall resistance (QHR) standards based on graphene perform better in a wider parameter space (temperature, current and magnetic field) than conventional semiconducting materials. 5. Exploring bis-MPA Based Dendritic Structures in Biomedicine
Abstract : In the last decades there has been significant advances in polymer chemistry. New coupling chemistries, polymerization techniques and accelerated approaches enable researches to push the limits of structural control. READ MORE
