1. Molecular basis for enhanced T-cell recognition and cross-reactivity
Abstract : T cells of the adaptive immune system recognize and kill infected cells by interacting with pathogenic peptides displayed on major histocompatibility complexes (MHC) through its T-cell receptor (TCR). TCR interactions with peptide/MHC complexes occur throughout the lifespan of T cells, from development to activation, with the origin of the peptide varying between self and foreign. READ MORE

2. Experimental and Clinical Studies on Contact Allergy to Diphenylmethane-4,4′-diisocyanate and Related Substances
Abstract : The exposure to isocyanates is more of an occupational problem than a consumer problem. The main route of exposure is assumed to be through inhalation. Isocyanates that have high vapor pressure, such as TDI, can be airborne at room temperature. Other isocyanates such as MDI are volatile only when heated. READ MORE

3. Novel Bioinformatics Applications for Protein Allergology, Genome-Wide Association and Retrovirology Studies
Abstract : Recently, the pace of growth in the amount of data sources within Life Sciences has increased exponentially until pose a difficult problem to efficiently manage their integration. The data avalanche we are experiencing may be significant for a turning point in science, with a change of orientation from proprietary to publicly available data and a concomitant acceptance of studies based on the latter. 4. GH Secretion in children. Methodological aspects of determining immunoreactive and bioactive isoforms
Abstract : A child's hormone-dependent growth is dependent on multiple factors, although linear growth is closely associated with levels of growth hormone (GH) secretion. As GH in serum exists in several isoforms, some of which may not be identified by immunoassay, possible alterations in the secretion of these different isoforms in childhood may influence growth and/or metabolism. 5. Characterization of antibody specificity using peptide array technologies
Abstract : Antibodies play an important role in the natural immune response to invading pathogens. The strong and specific binding to their antigens also make them indispensable tools for research, diagnostics and therapy. READ MORE
