21. Methods for Reducing the Complexity of Geometrical Structures Based on CFD Programming : Time Efficient Simulations Based on Volume Forces Coupled with Single and Two-phase Flow
Abstract : Throughout recent years, computer based programs have been applied to solve and analyse industrial problems encountered global fields such as automobile design for reduction of CO2-gas, designing wind parks aimed at increasing power output etc. One of these developed programs is Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) which numerically solves complex flow behaviour based on computer power. 22. Cell cycle analysis of archaea
Abstract : In my thesis, the cell cycle analysis of archaea and hyperthermophilic organisms is presented for the first time. Crenarchaea from the genus Sulfolobus were used as a model system. Plow cytometry and light microscopy were applied to investigate the timing and coordination of different cell cycle events. READ MORE

23. Pharmacokinetics, drug metabolism and clinical effects of the antimalarial artemisinin : Time-dependencies and modeling aspects
Abstract : The mechanism behind artemisinin time-dependent bioavailability was investigated using a rat in-situ single-pass jejunal perfusion technique. The consequence for drug combination therapy was studied in healthy volunteers and in patients with Plasmodium falciparum. READ MORE

24. Thermodynamic Cycles using Carbon Dioxide as Working Fluid : CO2 transcritical power cycle study
Abstract : The interest in utilizing the energy in low‐grade heat sources and waste heat is increasing. There is an abundance of such heat sources, but their utilization today is insufficient, mainly due to the limitations of the conventional power cycles in such applications, such as low efficiency, bulky size or moisture at the expansion outlet (e.g. READ MORE

25. Transient Air to Fuel Ratio Response in a Fuel Injected S.I Engine
Abstract : Future emission standards make it necessary to focus on the conditions under which engine emissions are produced, especially before the catalyst light off. During practical driving conditions, such as those represented by the FTP 75 test cycle, the engine is operated very much under transient conditions regarding load and speed. READ MORE
