1. Theoretical Studies of Cytochrome P450
Abstract : The cytochromes P450 are a large enzyme family that is found in all living organisms and takes part in both endogenous and exogenous metabolism. They are primarily mono-oxygenases and perform a wide range of reactions. READ MORE

2. Bacterial cytochromes P450-Studies on Cytochrome P450 102A2 and P450 102A3 of Bacillus subtilis
Abstract : Cytochromes P450 constitute a super-family of heme containing mixed function mono-oxygenases that is found in all branches of life. They introduce single oxygen atoms, mostly in the form of hydroxyl groups, into lipophilic substances and thereby render them more hydrophilic and susceptible to further reactions. READ MORE

3. Selective Retention of β-Carbolines and 7,12-Dimethylbenz[a]anthracene in the Brain : Role of Neuromelanin and Cytochrome P450 for Toxicity
Abstract : The ß-carbolines norharman and harman structurally resemble the synthetic compound 1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine (MPTP) that is known for its ability to damage neuromelanin-containing dopaminergic neurons of the substantia nigra and thereby induce parkinsonism. MPTP is, however, not normally present in the environment whereas the ß-carbolines are present in cooked food and tobacco smoke. READ MORE

4. Interactions between cytochrome P450 and estrogenic compounds in fish
Abstract : DISSERTATION ABSTRACT Hasselberg, Linda. Interactions between cytochrome P450 and estrogenic compounds in fish. Department of Zoophysiology, Göteborg University, Box 463, SE-405 30 Göteborg, Sweden Contamination by various pollutions is an environmental concern. READ MORE

5. Theoretical Studies of Drug-Metabolizing Cytochrome P450 Enzymes
Abstract : The family of cytochrome P450 enzymes (P450s) belongs to one of the most important enzyme families in the human body. P450s are involved in the synthesis of endogenous compounds and metabolism of exogenous substances. READ MORE
