  1. 1. The Role of Mitochondrial Uncoupling in the Development of Diabetic Nephropathy

    University dissertation from Uppsala : Acta Universitatis Upsaliensis

    Author : Malou Friederich Persson; Uppsala universitet.; [2012]
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Kidney; mitochondria; Uncoupling Protein-2; Adenosine Nucleotide Transporter; uncoupling; diabetes; diabetic nephropathy; db db; dinitrophenol; Coenzyme Q10; oxygen; rats; mice; Physiology; Fysiologi; Medical Cell Biology; Medicinsk cellbiologi;

    Abstract : Diabetes is closely associated with increased oxidative stress, especially originating from the mitochondria. A mechanism to reduce increased mitochondria superoxide production is to reduce the mitochondria membrane potential by releasing protons across the mitochondria membrane. READ MORE

  2. 2. Scheduling and Communication Synthesis for Distributed Real-Time Systems

    University dissertation from Linköping, Sweden : Linköpings universitet

    Author : Paul Pop; Linköpings universitet.; Linköpings universitet.; [2000]
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; distributed embedded systems; hard real-time systems; time-triggered protocol; scheduling; schedulability analysis; communication synthesis; control dependencies; TECHNOLOGY Information technology Computer science; TEKNIKVETENSKAP Informationsteknik Datavetenskap;

    Abstract : Embedded systems are now omnipresent: from cellular phones to pagers, from microwave ovens to PDAs, almost all the devices we use are controlled by embedded systems. Many embedded systems have to fulfill strict requirements in terms of performance and cost efficiency. READ MORE

  3. 3. System-on-Chip Test Scheduling and Test Infrastructure Design

    University dissertation from Linköping : Linköpings universitet

    Author : Anders Larsson; Linköpings universitet.; Linköpings universitet.; [2005]
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; system-on-chip; core-based systems; test infrastructure; test scheduling; broadcasting; test set sharing; TECHNOLOGY Information technology Computer science; TEKNIKVETENSKAP Informationsteknik Datavetenskap;

    Abstract : There are several challenges that have to be considered in order to reduce the cost of System-on-Chip (SoC) testing, such as test application time, chip area overhead due to hardware introduced to enhance the testing, and the price of the test equipment. In this thesis the test application time and the test infrastructure hardware overhead of multiple-core SoCs are considered and two different problems are addressed. READ MORE

  4. 4. High-Level Techniques for Built-In Self-Test Resources Optimization

    University dissertation from Linköping : Linköpings universitet

    Author : Abdil Mohamed; Linköpings universitet.; Linköpings universitet.; [2005]
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; testing; system-on-chip; testability; built-in self-test; BIST; wiring-aware; TECHNOLOGY Information technology Computer science; TEKNIKVETENSKAP Informationsteknik Datavetenskap;

    Abstract : Design modifications to improve testability usually introduce large area overhead and performance degradation. One way to reduce the negative impact associated with improved testability is to take testability as one of the constraints during high- level design phases so that systems are not only optimized for area and performance, but also from the testability point of view. 5. 5. Analysis and Synthesis of Communication-Intensive Heterogeneous Real-Time Systems

    University dissertation from Linköping, Sweden : Linköpings universitet

    Author : Paul Pop; Linköpings universitet.; Linköpings universitet.; [2003]
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; communication-intensive heterogeneous real-time systems; multi-cluster systems; time-driven; event-driven; distributed embedded systems; TECHNOLOGY Information technology Computer science; TEKNIKVETENSKAP Informationsteknik Datavetenskap;

    Abstract : Embedded computer systemsare now everywhere: from alarm clocks to PDAs, from mobile phones to cars, almost all the devices we use are controlled by embedded computer systems. An important class of embedded computer systems is that of real-time systems, which have to fulfill strict timing requirements. READ MORE
