  1. 1. Robust Control of an Induction Motor Drive

    Author : Henrik Mosskull; Bo Wahlberg; Marian Kazmiekowski; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Automatic control; Reglerteknik;

    Abstract : This thesis considers robust control of an induction motor drive, consisting of an input filter, a voltage source inverter and one or several induction motors in parallel. The motor torque is here controlled by using the method Indirect Self Control (ISC), and power oscillations between the inverter and the input filter are damped by means of a stabilization controller in an outer feedback loop. 2. 2. Voltage sag ride-through of AC drives : control and analysis

    Author : Kai Pietiläinen; Hans-Peter Nee; Olli Pyrhönen; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Electronic measurement and instrumentation; Elektronisk mät- och apparatteknik;

    Abstract : This thesis focuses on controller design and analysis for induction motor (IM) drives, flux control for electrically excited synchronous motors with damper windings (EESMs), and to enhance voltage sag ride-through ability and analysis for a wind turbine application with a full-power grid-connected active rectifier. The goal is to be able to use the existing equipment, without altering the hardware. READ MORE

  3. 3. Distributed control of electric drives via Ehernet

    Author : Lilantha Samaranayake; KTH; []
    Keywords : Brushless DC Motor; Control Delay; Distributed Motion Control Systems; Proportional Integral Controller;

    Abstract : This report presents the work carried out aiming towardsdistributed control of electric drives through a networkcommunication medium with temporal constraints, i.e, Ethernet.A general analysis on time delayed systems is carried out,using state space representation of systems in the discretetime domain. 4. 4. Thermal and State-of-Charge Balancing of Batteries using Multilevel Converters

    Author : Faisal Altaf; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Thermal balancing; Convex optimization; DC-link ripple; Battery ripple; Battery control; Hybrid electric vehicles.; Multilevel converter; Cell balancing;

    Abstract : Driven by the needs to reduce the dependence of fossil fuels and the emissions of conventional vehicles there has in recent years been an increasing interest in battery-powered electrified vehicles (xEVs). In xEVs, the battery pack, built from many small cells, is one of the most expensive components in the powertrain. READ MORE

  5. 5. Prosthetic Foot Control for Ground Adaptation

    Author : Wolfgang Svensson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; autonomous systems; kinematical sensors; Foot prosthesis; embedded computing; sensor fusion;

    Abstract : Wearers of prosthetic feet find walking on inclined ground difficult or uncomfortable. A major reason for this is a limitation in ankle motion in existing prostheses. READ MORE
