  1. 1. The control of VSC-HVDC and its use for large industrial power systems

    Author : Cuiqing Du; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; VSC-HVDC; inner current controller; outer controller; PWM; dc dc converter; voltage dips; dc networks;

    Abstract : With the recent developments in semiconductors and control equipment, Voltage Source Converter based High Voltage direct Current (VSC-HVDC) has become feasible. Due to the use of VSC technology and Pulse Width Modulation (PWM), it has a number of potential advantages: short circuit current reduction; rapid, independent control of the active and reactive power, etc. READ MORE

  2. 2. On the Design of Affibody Molecules for Radiolabeling and In Vivo Molecular Imaging

    Author : Daniel Rosik; Amelie Eriksson Karlström; Christian Heinis; KTH; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Affibody molecule; AC DC; radionuclide molecular imaging; HER2; SPECT; PET; biodistribution; peptide synthesis; radiolabeling; SRA - Molecular Bioscience; SRA - Molekylär biovetenskap;

    Abstract : Affibody molecules have lately shown great potential as tools for in vivo molecular imaging. These small, 3-helical bundles, with their highly stable protein scaffold, are well suited for the often harsh conditions of radiolabeling. READ MORE

    Abstract : Modular battery systems based on multilevel inverter (MLI) topologies can possibly overcome some shortcomings of two-level inverters when used for vehicle propulsion. The results presented in this thesis aim to point out the advantages and disadvantages, as well as the technical challenges, of modular vehicle battery systems based on MLIs in comparison to a conventional, two-level IGBT inverter drivetrain. 4. 4. Aerodynamic measurements of normal voice

    Author : Eva Holmberg; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; Normal voice; inverse filtering; glottal airflow waveform; subglottal air pressure; Phonetics; Fonetik; Phonetics; fonetik;

    Abstract : Vocal fold vibration results from an alternating balance between subglottal air pressure that drives the vocal folds apart and muscular, elastic, and restoring forces that draw them together. The aim of the present thesis is to present quantitative data of normal vocal function using a noninvasive method. READ MORE

  5. 5. Multilevel Inverter for Wave Power Conversion

    Author : Remya Krishna; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : This thesis deals with the electrical system analysis of a Wave Energy Converter (WEC) for the objective of grid connection. The Linear Permanent Magnet Generator (LPMG) is modeled and validated with experimental results. The comparison studies establish that this model is useful for the subsequent system modeling and performance analysis. READ MORE
