1. What Does it Take to Get your Attention? : The influence of In-Store and Out-of-Store Factors on Visual Attention and Decision Making for Fast-moving Consumer Goods
Abstract : Decision making for fast-moving consumer goods involves a choice between numerous similar alternatives. Under such demanding circumstances, a decision is made for one product. The decision is dependent on the interaction between the environment and the mind of the consumer, both of which are filled with information that can influence the outcome. READ MORE

2. Space Computing using COTS Heterogeneous Platforms : Intelligent On-Board Data Processing in Space Systems
Abstract : Space computing enriches space activities such as deep-space explorations and in-orbit intelligent decision making. The awareness of space computing is growing due to the technological advances of high-performance commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) computing platforms. READ MORE

3. Communication in Patient Involvement in Decision making : Examples from consultations on atrial fibrillation
Abstract : AbstractBackground: Further knowledge is needed regarding communication that occurs in practice between patients with atrial fibrillation (AF) and health professionals in consultations to understand the issue of patient involvement in treatment decisions.Overall aim: The overall aim of this thesis is to contribute knowledge on communication between patients and health professionals (cardiology nurses and cardiologists), focussing on how they create involvement in decision making in consultations. 4. Fast local optimization in decision analytic software
Abstract : In decision analysis, significant recognition has been given to the fact that requiring numerically precise information seems unrealistic for real-life decision situations, Despite the emergence of many modern apporaches, which attempt to handle imprecise estimates, concentration has focused more on representation and less on evaluation. Methods such as the DELTA method challenged this issue by its evaluation framework that can accommodate both precision an imprecision, and thus pushes forward the disign of advanced dicision analysis systems. 5. Space-time processing and equalization for wireless communications
Abstract : In this thesis several aspects of space-time processing and equalization for wire-less communications are treated. We discuss several different methods of improving estimates of space-time channels, such as temporal parametrization, spatial parametrization, reduced rank channel estimation, bootstrap channel estimation, and joint estimation of an FIR channel and an AR noise model.
