  1. 1. Enhancements in Dielectric Response Characterization of Insulation Materials

    Author : Xiangdong Xu; [2013]
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; harmonic limited waveform; air reference method; contact-free electrode; geometric corrections.; frequency domain spectroscopy; Dielectric characterization;

    Abstract : The increasing demand of integrating various renewable energy recourses in power system requires extensive use of power electronic solutions, such as HVDC and FACTS, as these techniques allow energy conversion between different frequencies and serves to stabilize the network. Consequently, electric stresses other than traditional 50/60 Hz sinusoidal voltage stress are acting on high voltage insulation materials. READ MORE

  2. 2. High frequency electronic packaging and components : characterization, simulation, materials and processing

    University dissertation from Institutionen för teknik och naturvetenskap

    Author : Christian Johansson; Mats Robertsson; Li-Rong Zheng; [2007]
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Dielectric loss; high frequency electrical characterization; microwave circuits; multilayer thin film technology; ORMOCER®; permittivity; printed diode; sequential build-up; silicone elastomer; TECHNOLOGY Information technology Signal processing; TEKNIKVETENSKAP Informationsteknik Signalbehandling;

    Abstract : Electronic packaging continues to move towards improved performance and lower cost. Requirements of higher performance, reduced size, weight and cost of both high density interconnects and high frequency devices have led to the search for new materials, material combinations, methods, processes and production equipment. Abstract : This thesis presents the synthesis methods and the characterizations of magnetic Fe3O4 nanoparticles, silica spheres with Fe3O4 nanoparticles embedded, and three dimensional magnetic photonic crystals (MPCs) prepared from the spheres. The structure, material composition, magnetic and optical properties, photonic band gaps (PBGs), as well as how these properties depend on the concentration of the magnetic nanoparticles, are investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM), superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID), Faraday rotation (FR) and optical spectrophotometers.
