1. Alternative methods for analysing moisture transport in buildings : Utilisation of tracer gas and natural stable isotopes
Abstract : New methods, based on tracer gas measurements and isotopicanalysis can be used to evaluate the moisture properties ofbuilding materials and provide the means for forensic analysisof the origins and history of excessive water in buildings, theimmediate practical consequences of which will be the abilityto improve the moisture performance of constructions. It is shown, in theory and through measurements how thewater vapour permeability of porous building materials can witha good degree of accuracy be estimated with tracer gasmeasurements that provide an efficient alternative to the cupmethod. 2. Structure-Performance Relations of Oxygen Barriers for Food Packaging
Abstract : Food packaging should ensure the safety and quality of food, minimize spoilage and provide an easy way of storing and handling it. Barrier coatings are generally used to meet the demands placed on fibre-based food packages, as these have the ability to regulate the amount of gases that can enter them. READ MORE

3. Stimulating the diffusion of environmental technologies through export
Abstract : Contemporary environmental problems represent complex societal challenges, and as these problems become increasingly global, the international diffusion of environmental technologies is essential. One way to diffuse technologies internationally is through export. READ MORE

4. Impregnation of concrete structures : transportation and fixation of moisture in water repellent treated concrete
Abstract : Water repellent agents, today mainly consisting of alkylalkoxysilanes, are often used on concrete to prolong the service life of the structure. This is accomplished by protecting the reinforcement bars from chlorides or by changing the moisture content inside. READ MORE

5. Ageing behavior of plastics used in automotive fuel systems
Abstract : The increase in service temperature and the use of biobased fuels, such as biodiesel, have raised concerns on the short/long-term performance of plastic components used in automotive fuel systems. In this work the ageing behavior of unreinforced and glass-fibre reinforced polyamide 12 (PA12), exposed to three different fuels (petroleum diesel, biodiesel, and a mixture of these (80/20)) at high temperature, was investigated.
