1. Continuous Ethanol Production from Dilute-acid Hydrolyzates: Detoxification and Fermentation Strategy
Abstract : The production of fuel ethanol from cellulosic biomass is of growing interest around the world. Lignocellulosic residuals can be used to produce transportation fuel, with the overall process having little net production of greenhouse gases. READ MORE

2. Overliming and continuous cultivation of dilute-acid hydrolyzates by immobilized Baker's yeast, S. cerevisiae
Abstract : .... READ MORE

3. Ethanol from Lignocellulose: Physiological Effects of Inhibitors and Fermentation Strategies
Abstract : Fermentative ethanol production from dilute-acid hydrolyzates of wood using the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae was investigated. Of known inhibitors in hydrolyzates, acetic acid, furfural and hydroxymethyl furfural (HMF) were found in the highest concentrations (up to about 10 g/l). READ MORE

5. Improving Ethanol Production from Lignocellulose Hydrolyzates: Fed-batch Fermentation, Yeast Cultivation and Strain Development for Increased Tolerance
Abstract : Ethanol production by the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae from dilute acid lignocellulose hydrolyzate was studied with the aim to improve fuel ethanol production. Specifically, the problem of inhibition was addressed. READ MORE
