21. Functional aspects of cellobiose dehydrogenase Applications for biosensor development
Abstract : Electrochemcial investigations were conducted for elucidating and understanding the relation between the various electron transfer processes occurring in cellobiose dehydrogenase (CDH) bound to an electrode surface. Substrate inhibition caused by cellobiose was proven to act in competition with the electron transfer to a two-electron acceptor and under a partial inhibition mechanism for the internal electron transfer process. 22. Electrochemistry of Heme Containing Enzymes - Fundamentals and Applications
Abstract : The thesis is a bioelectrochemical study of heme enzymes, mainly peroxidases and cellobiose dehydrogenases (CDH). It covers both fundamental and applied aspects, viz. studies of the direct electron transfer and kinetics of enzymes on electrodes, and the development of amperometric enzyme-based biosensors. 23. Material Development for Electron Beam-based Powder Bed Fusion
Abstract : Electron beam powder bed fusion (PBF-EB) is an additivemanufacturing (AM) method based on layer-by-layer melting of apowder bed. The technology is industrialized in certain applicationsbut still considered as immature and is not as widely used as laserbeam-based systems (PBF-LB). READ MORE

24. Studies of Electrocatalytic Reactions of NADH at Mediator Modified Electrodes and of H2O2 at Peroxidase Modified Electrodes
Abstract : This thesis addresses: (1) studies of direct and mediated electron transfer and kinetics of peroxidases on electrodes and the development of amperometric peroxidase-based biosenors, (2) electrochemical and kinetic studies of NADH oxidation at mediator modified electrodes. The direct and mediated electron transfer of horseradish and tobacco peroxidase were investigated on graphite electrodes by using wall-jet electrode methodology. READ MORE

25. Dynamics of Excitation Transfer and Charge Separation in Polymeric Semiconductors
Abstract : Dynamics of optically excited electronic states have been studied in solid films and solutions of semiconducting polymers and model compounds. Transient absorption, monitored in the spectral range from 0.9 eV to 2.5 eV with a time resolution of about 100 fs, was the main experimental technique. READ MORE
