11. A sensitivity analysis of the Winter-Kennedy method
Abstract : Hydropower is among the lowest-cost electrical energy sources due to its long lifespan and lower operation and maintenance cost. The hydro-mechanical components of hydropower plants generally last about four to five decades, then they are either overhauled or replaced. READ MORE

12. Computational framework for studying charge transport in high-voltage gas-insulated systems
Abstract : Electrical switchgear industry dealing with transmission and distribution of power is strongly affected by the changing dynamics of climate control. Their main contribution to the global warming is through SF6 gas, having a GWP of 23500 (times of CO2). SF6 plays an important role in providing electrical insulation for these high voltage systems. 13. Observational Uncertainties in Water-Resources Modelling in Central America : Methods for Uncertainty Estimation and Model Evaluation
Abstract : Knowledge about spatial and temporal variability of hydrological processes is central for sustainable water-resources management, and such knowledge is created from observational data. Hydrologic models are necessary for prediction for time periods and areas lacking data, but are affected by observational uncertainties. READ MORE

14. Spatial and temporal dynamics of nutrients in two agricultural catchments in southeast Sweden
Abstract : Many lakes and coast areas in Sweden and all over the globe suffer from eutrophication, caused by an overload of phosphorus (P) and nitrogen (N). In Sweden these emissions from point sources, e.g. READ MORE

15. Eating difficulties in elderly, focusing on patients with stroke
Abstract : The aim of this thesis was to describe eating difficulties and interventions to improve eating among elderly patients, especially those with stroke, to make comparisons between patients with dysphagia and those without (Papers I & II), those with and without assisted eating (Paper IV), and to analyse the relation between eating difficulties, nutritional status (Papers II-V), pressure ulcers (Paper IV), length of hospital stay and levels of independent living when discharged (Paper V). Eating difficulties were mainly assessed using structured observations. READ MORE
