11. Dynamic higher order equations
Abstract : The subject of this thesis is to derive and evaluate governing equations and correspondingboundary conditions for solid cylinders and rectangular plates, where the materialconstituting the cylinder or plate are governed by classical elasticity, micropolar elasticityor a functionally graded case of the previously mentioned models. This is achieved by asystematic power series expansion approach, by either adopting a generalized Hamilton'sprinciple or a direct approach. READ MORE

12. Price Setting, Inflation Dynamics, and Monetary Policy
Abstract : This thesis consists of three self-contained essays. Essay 1: Staggered prices are a fundamental building block of New Keynesian DSGE models. In the standard model, prices are uniformly staggered, but recent empirical evidence suggests that deviations from uniform staggering are common. READ MORE

13. Multivariate linear normal models with special references to the growth curve model
Abstract : The Growth Curve Model (GMAN0VA) introduced by Potthoff & Roy (1964) and two extensions are considered. The first extension treats a Growth Curve Model with concomitant variables whereas the second is applicable when different growth curves or when linear restrictions on the parameter space, describing the mean structure in the Growth Curve Model, exist. 14. Coarse-Grained Models of Ionic Solutions
Abstract : Room-temperature ionic liquids (RTILs) are compounds composed entirely of ions, which are liquid at temperatures below 100 degrees Celsius. Their high ionic strength and strong coupling make them useful for a number of applications, e.g. as electrolytes in supercapacitors. READ MORE

15. Analyses and Application of Ambient Seismic Noise in Sweden : Source, Interferometry, Tomography
Abstract : Ambient seismic noise from generation to its application for determination of sub-surface velocity structures is analyzed using continuous data recordings from the Swedish National Seismic Network (SNSN). The fundamental aim of the thesis is to investigate the applicability of precise velocity measurements from ambient noise data. READ MORE
