  2. 2. Supply Chain Risk Management : Identification, Evaluation and Mitigation Techniques

    Author : S.Nurmaya Musa; Ou Tang; Jan Olhager; David Zhang; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : Supply chain risk management; risk analysis; risk control; co-citation; system dynamics; modelling;

    Abstract : Supply chains have expanded rapidly over the decades, with the aim to increase productivity, lower costs and fulfil demands in emerging markets. The increasing complexity in a supply chain hinders visibility and consequently reduces one’s control over the process. READ MORE

  3. 3. Generation and Applications of Picosecond Pulses in High-Capacity Fiber Optic Systems

    Author : Jie Li; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; nonlinear distortion; optical pulse shaping; dispersion-management; eye-diagram; cross-phase modulation; optical sampling; optical fiber applications; multiplexing; parametric amplification; demultiplexing; optical pulses; fiber optical communication; nonlinear systems; time division multiplexing; four-wave mixing; polarization-mode dispersion; optical signal processing; fiber optical nonlinearities; fiber ring laser; soliton robustness; mode-locking; optical filters; networks;

    Abstract : This thesis deals with short optical pulse generation from actively mode-locked Erbium-doped fiber ring lasers (ML-EFRL) and their applications in all-optical signal processing (optical sampling and switching) and transmission experiments for high-capacity fiber optic systems. In future ultra-high bit-rate optical time division multiplexed (OTDM) systems, one of the key requirements is to develop reliable optical pulse sources that can generate high quality optical pulses. 4. 4. Baltic Sea sediments : Source and sink for metal contamination

    Author : Sina Shahabi-Ghahfarokhi; João Marcelo Ketzer; Alessandro Amorosi; Linnéuniversitetet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Baltic Sea; sediments; acid sulfate soil; metal; remediation; reoxygenation; X-ray absorption spectroscopy; Environmental Chemistry; Miljökemi; Miljövetenskap; Environmental Science;

    Abstract : The Baltic Sea sediments record spatial and temporal information about metalsand metalloids (hereafter referred to as metals), which could help to understandthe past and present contamination sinks in different basins. In addition, giventhe expanding anoxic zones in the Baltic Sea, the response of metals to artificialreoxygenation is poorly understood. READ MORE
