Abstract : This dissertation explores the learning of social entrepreneurs in accelerators. Building on Jarvis’ (2010) existential theory of learning, it conceptualises entrepreneurial learning as a process in which purposeful individuals encounter and transform experiences of disjuncture. 2. “Closed Place, Open Word” : Reading the Postplantation in Earl Lovelace, Milton Murayama, and Ntozake Shange
Abstract : This dissertation focuses on three authors who came of age in the 1980s, Earl Lovelace, Milton Murayama, and Ntozake Shange, reading their novels set respectively on Trinidad, Hawai‘i, and the Sea Islands, as postplantation expressions. My definition of the postplantation builds upon the work of Édouard Glissant, especially “Closed Place, Open Word” where he delineates three phases in literary production from the Plantation: the first is chiefly oral and appears as an “act of survival,” the second is an attempt to justify the Plantation system and is marked by “delusion,” and the third phase is written by descendants of the Plantation in a “passion of memory. Abstract : In this dissertation the structure, practices and evolution of a single Pitted Ware Culture site, Ajvide on Gotland, is explored and placed within the larger Pitted Ware Culture context. The site has been excavated over a period of 24 years, making it one of the most excavated Pitted Ware Culture sites in Sweden. READ MORE

5. Prehistoric human impact on wild mammalian populations in Scandinavia
Abstract : This thesis aims to study the interactions of pre-agricultural societies in Scandinavia with wild mammals, for example in terms of hunting and translocation. More specifically, the aim is to investigate the possibility of identifying examples of overexploitation, targeted hunting or translocation of wild mammals in prehistoric Scandinavia, and to discuss the implications this could have had for both the wild animals and the humans.
