6. Systematic Design of Linear Feedback Amplifiers
Abstract : This work adds a quantitative description of distortion to the structured design method of negative-feedback amplifiers. It constitutes a power-series representation of the feedback amplifier, which may include dynamic (memory) effects, where the design parameters appear explicitly. READ MORE

7. Floating-Point Analog-to-Digital Converter
Abstract : To deal with the wide dynamic rage necessary for a radio receiver or corresponding applications, but to avoid impractically high resolution at high data rates, the approach of using a floating-point analog-to-digital converter (FP-ADC) has been investigated. This approach de-links the dynamic range with the resolution, and a very wide dynamic range can be achieved by an ADC with a moderate resolution. READ MORE

8. Testing for Unit Root against LISTAR Model : Wavelet Improvement under GARCH Distortion
Abstract : In this paper we propose a Nonlinear Dickey-Fuller F test for unit root against first order Logistic Smooth Transition Autoregressive LISTAR (1) model with time as the transition variable. The Nonlinear Dickey-Fuller F test statistics is established under the null hypothesis of random walk without drift and the alternative model is a nonlinear LSTAR (1) model. READ MORE

9. Moisture Transport and Moisture-Induced Distortions in Timber - an Experimental and Numerical Study
Abstract : Timber products subjected to climatic variations commonly display moisture-induced distortions that can lead to serious problems for end-users. The aim of the thesis, which consists of an extended summary and six appended papers, was to investigate the potential of using the gluing technique suggested here for dealing with problems of moisture-induced distortions and developing the heat and mass transfer models which such distortion analyses require. 10. The influence of music on hearing. A study in classical and rock/jazz musicians
Abstract : The aim of this thesis was to assess hearing and hearing disorders among classical and rock/jazz musicians. Pure tone audiometry was performed in 140 classical and 139 rock/jazz musicians. READ MORE
