  1. 1. Initiation of Mammalian Mitochondrial DNA Replication

    Author : Elisabeth Jemt; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; mitochondria; mtDNA; DNA replication;

    Abstract : Mitochondria produce most of the adenosine triphosphate required in a eukaryotic cell and they contain their own genome. The mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) is a double stranded circular molecule that codes for proteins required for cellular respiration and RNA molecules involved in translation of these proteins. READ MORE

  2. 2. Maintaining DNA replication fork integrity

    Author : Petra Groth; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : .... READ MORE

  3. 3. Initiation of herpes simplex virus DNA replication

    Author : Stina Simonsson; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; initiation of DNA replication; origin binding protein; Herpes Simplex Virus;

    Abstract : During virus infection multiple new copies of the virus genome are made by a DNA synthesis machinery. Initiation of DNA replication involves the recognition of origins of DNA replication by an initiator protein. READ MORE

  4. 4. Activation of Herpes simplex virus type 1 origin of DNA replication

    Author : Alireza Aslani; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Keywords : DNA replication; Herpes simplex virus; helicase; UL9; OBP; ICP8; ATP; oriS; hairpin;

    Abstract : Herpes simplex virus type 1 has been used to study the molecular mechanism of DNA replication. Initiation of DNA replication takes place at specific regions called origins of replication. The HSV-1 genome contains three origins of replication, one copy of oriL and two copies of oriS. 5. 5. Herpes Simplex Virus 1 DNA replication and its role in recombination and transcription

    Author : Ka-Wei Tang; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Herpes Simplex Virus 1; DNA replication; DNA recombination; Transcription;

    Abstract : Herpes simplex virus 1 (HSV-1) is one of nine different herpesvirus infecting man. They are all capable of establishing a life-long latent state following the primary infection. HSV-1 as well as other herpesviruses may reactivate from the latent state and give rise to a productive infection with clinical symptoms or asymptomatic shedding. READ MORE
