  1. 1. NA transmembrane domain Amphiphilic drift to accommodate two functions

    University dissertation from Stockholm : Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics, Stockholm University

    Author : Johan Nordholm; Stockholms universitet.; [2017]
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; influenza; IAV; neuraminidase; NA; transmembrane domain; TMD; secretory protein; ER-targeting sequence; ER-targeting sequence coding region; protein regulation; NS1; GALLEX; biokemi; Biochemistry;

    Abstract : Neuraminidase (NA) is one of two major antigens on the surface of influenza A viruses. It is comprised of a single N-terminal transmembrane domain (TMD), a stalk domain, and a C-terminal enzymatic head domain that cleaves sialic acid, most notably to release new particles from the host cell surface. 2. 2. Frequency Domain Identification of Continuous-Time Systems Reconstruction and Robustness

    University dissertation from Institutionen för systemteknik

    Author : Jonas Gillberg; Lennart Ljung; Fredrik Gustafsson; [2006]
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Discrete-time domain; Frequency-domain identification; Signal processing; Frequency-domain; TECHNOLOGY Information technology Automatic control; TEKNIKVETENSKAP Informationsteknik Reglerteknik;

    Abstract : Approaching parameter estimation from the discrete-time domain is the dominating paradigm in system identification. Identification of continuous-time models on the other hand is motivated by the fact that modelling of physical systems often take place in continuous-time. READ MORE

  3. 3. Influenza neuraminidase assembly Evolution of domain cooperativity

    University dissertation from Stockholm : Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics, Stockholm University

    Author : Diogo da Silveira Vieira da Silva; Stockholms universitet.; [2016]
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Influenza; neuraminidase; assembly; transmembrane domain; evolution; biokemi; Biochemistry;

    Abstract : Influenza A virus (IAV) is one of the most common viruses circulating in the human population and is responsible for seasonal epidemics that affect millions of individuals worldwide. The need to develop new drugs and vaccines against IAVs led scientists to study the main IAV surface antigens hemagglutinin (HA) and neuraminidase (NA). READ MORE

  4. 4. Probabilistic Modelling of Domain and Gene Evolution

    University dissertation from Stockholm, Sweden : KTH Royal Institute of Technology

    Author : Sayyed Auwn Muhammad; KTH.; [2016]
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Phylogenetics; Phylogenomics; Evolution; Domain Evolution; Gene tree; Domain tree; Bayesian Inference; Markov Chain Monte Carlo; Homology Inference; Gene families; C2H2 Zinc-Finger; Reelin Protein; Computer Science; Datalogi;

    Abstract : Phylogenetic inference relies heavily on statistical models that have been extended and refined over the past years into complex hierarchical models to capture the intricacies of evolutionary processes. The wealth of information in the form of fully sequenced genomes has led to the development of methods that are used to reconstruct the gene and species evolutionary histories in greater and more accurate detail.
