1. Functional Metal Oxide Materials Deposited by Inkjet Printing Technique
Abstract : This thesis presents a comprehensive study of the intrinsic room temperature ferromagnetism in 85 to 100nm thin films produced by in situ deposition of industrially important pristine MgO and ZnO by inkjet printing. It is suggested that the observed long range magnetic order, the so-called do magnetism in these oxides arises from cation vacancies. READ MORE

2. Synthesis and Characterization of Some Nanostructured Materials for Visible Light-driven Photo Processes
Abstract : Nanostructured materials for visible light driven photo-processes such as photodegradation of organic pollutants and photoelectrochemical (PEC) water oxidation for hydrogen production are very attractive because of the positive impact on the environment. Metal oxides-based nanostructures are widely used in these photoprocesses due to their unique properties. READ MORE

3. Synthesis, Surface Modification, and Characterization of Metal Oxide Nanoparticles : Nanoprobes for Signal Enhancement in Biomedical Imaging
Abstract : In this thesis we investigate crystalline metal oxide nanoparticles of our own design to obtain nanoprobes for signal enhancement and bioimaging purposes. We report fabrication, surface modification and characterization of nanoparticles based on zinc (Zn), and rare earths (i.e. gadolinium (Gd) and europium (Eu)) singly and in combination. READ MORE

4. Graphene-based nanocomposites for electronics and photocatalysis
Abstract : The development of future electronics depends on the availability of suitable functional materials. Printed electronics, for example, relies on access to highly conductive, inexpensive and printable materials, while strong light absorption and low carrier recombination rates are demanded in photocatalysis industry. 5. Properties of Multifunctional Oxide Thin Films Despostied by Ink-jet Printing
Abstract : Ink-jet printing offers an ideal answer to the emerging trends and demands of depositing at ambient temperatures picoliter droplets of oxide solutions into functional thin films and device components with a high degree of pixel precision. It is a direct single-step mask-free patterning technique that enables multi-layer and 3D patterning. READ MORE
