  1. 1. Supervisory control of complex propulsion subsystems

    Author : Dhinesh Vilwanathan Velmurugan; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Look-ahead control; engine control; exhaust after-treatment; supervisory control;

    Abstract : Modern gasoline and diesel combustion engines are equipped with several subsystems with the goal to reduce fuel consumption and pollutant exhaust emissions. Subsystem synergies could be harnessed using the supervisory control approach. Look-ahead information can be used to potentially optimise power-train control for real time implementation. READ MORE

  2. 2. Robust Control of an Induction Motor Drive

    Author : Henrik Mosskull; Bo Wahlberg; Marian Kazmiekowski; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Automatic control; Reglerteknik;

    Abstract : This thesis considers robust control of an induction motor drive, consisting of an input filter, a voltage source inverter and one or several induction motors in parallel. The motor torque is here controlled by using the method Indirect Self Control (ISC), and power oscillations between the inverter and the input filter are damped by means of a stabilization controller in an outer feedback loop. 3. 3. Control of Systems with Limited Capacity

    Author : Stefan Solyom; Institutionen för reglerteknik; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; voltage collapse; power systems; anti-windup; piecewise linear systems; synthesis; ABS; PID control; LMI; Automation; robotics; control engineering; Automatiska system; robotteknik; reglerteknik;

    Abstract : Virtually all real life systems are such that they present some kind of limitation on one or many of its variables, physical quantities. These systems are designated in this thesis as systems with limited capacity. This work is treating control related problems of a subclass of such systems, where the limitation is a critical factor. 4. 4. Predictive control for autonomous driving : With experimental evaluation on a heavy-duty construction truck

    Author : Pedro Lima; Bo Wahlberg; Jonas Mårtensson; Alberto Bemporad; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Autonomous vehicles; model predictive control; automatic control; heavy-duty vehicles; mining; trucks; clothoids; Electrical Engineering; Elektro- och systemteknik;

    Abstract : Autonomous vehicles is a rapidly expanding field, and promise to play an important role in society. In more isolated environments, vehicle automation can bring significant efficiency and production benefits and it eliminates repetitive jobs that can lead to inattention and accidents. READ MORE

  5. 5. Optimal Speed and Powertrain Control of a Heavy-Duty Vehicle in Urban Driving

    Author : Manne Held; Jonas Mårtensson; Jonas Fredriksson; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Autonomous vehicles; model predictive control; optimal control; heavy-duty vehicles; trucks; powertrain control; fuel; Electrical Engineering; Elektro- och systemteknik;

    Abstract : A major challenge in the transportation industry is how to reduce the emissions of greenhouse gases. One way of achieving this in vehicles is to drive more fuel-efficiently. READ MORE
