    Author : Malin Svärd; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Driver adaptation; Driver models; Visual attention; Safety benefit assessment; Evidence accumulatoin; PrARX; Hybrid dynamical systems; ADAS; Predictive processing;

    Abstract : The aim of this thesis is to investigate how human driving behaviors can be formally described in mathematical models intended for online personalization of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) or offline virtual safety evaluations. Both longitudinal (braking) and lateral (steering) behaviors in routine driving and emergencies are addressed. READ MORE

  2. 2. Human Vehicle Interaction Drivers’ Body and Visual Behaviour and Tools and Process for Analysis

    Author : Lars Hanson; Ergonomi och aerosolteknologi; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Working process; Vision; Safety; Reach; Posture; Neural network; Fuzzy logic; Ergonomics; Driver behaviour; Documentation; Digital human modelling; Comfort; Button location; Car interior; Technology of other products; Produktteknik allmän ;

    Abstract : Vehicle design is characterized by a high number of compromises. The special role of human factors in the process is to ensure that the compromises do not occur at the expense of the driver and passengers. READ MORE

  3. 3. Adaptive Supervision Online Learning for Vision Based Autonomous Systems

    Author : Kristoffer Öfjäll; Michael Felsberg; Kostas Daniilidis; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Abstract : Driver assistance systems in modern cars now show clear steps towards autonomous driving and improvements are presented in a steady pace. The total number of sensors has also decreased from the vehicles of the initial DARPA challenge, more resembling a pile of sensors with a car underneath. READ MORE

  4. 4. Shape Based Recognition – Cognitive Vision Systems in Traffic Safety Applications

    Author : Fredrik Larsson; Michael Felsberg; Per-Erik Forssén; Ales Leonardis; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Abstract : Traffic accidents are globally the number one cause of death for people 15-29 years old and is among the top three causes for all age groups 5-44 years. Much of the work within this thesis has been carried out in projects aiming for (cognitive) driver assistance systems and hopefully represents a step towards improving traffic safety. READ MORE

  5. 5. Learning visual perception for autonomous systems

    Author : Gustav Häger; Michael Felsberg; Per-Erik Forssén; Fahad Shahbaz Khan; Roman Pflugfelder; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; computer vision; visual object tracking; tracking; machine learning; deep learning;

    Abstract : In the last decade, developments in hardware, sensors and software have made it possible to create increasingly autonomous systems. These systems can be as simple as limited driver assistance software lane-following in cars, or limited collision warning systems for otherwise manually piloted drones. READ MORE
