1. Drug treatment in children with focus on off-label drug use
Abstract : There is a lack of paediatric documentation concerning efficacy and safety of many drugs, which contribute to drug use outside the terms of the product license (off-label). In the present thesis, four studies (I-IV), using different settings and design to evaluate pharmacological treatment in children, with focus on off-label drug use, is presented. READ MORE

2. Off-label drug treatment and related problems in children : a register-based investigation
Abstract : Introduction: There is a lack of pediatric documentation concerning efficacy and safety of many drugs, which may contribute to off-label drug treatment and increase the risk for adverse drug reactions (ADRs). Aims: To; (I) analyse the frequency and characteristics of pediatric off-label prescribing; (II) investigate frequency of off-label drug prescribing in pediatric ADR reports; (III) analyse drug related problems, the extent of off-label drug treatment in pediatric questions to a Drug Information Centre (DIC) and pediatric literature information adding to the labelling of the drug in DIC answers. 3. Sperm Membrane Channels, Receptors and Kinematics : Using boar spermatozoa for drug toxicity screening
Abstract : Internal fertilization usually implies that a spermatozoon, with intact attributes for zygote formation, passes all hurdles during its transport through the female genitalia and reaches the oocyte. During this journey, millions to billions of other spermatozoa perish. READ MORE

4. Iridium-Catalyzed C−H Activation Methods for Late-Stage Functionalization of Pharmaceuticals
Abstract : C-H activations have over the recent decades risen from a mere curiosity to a viable synthetic strategy. However, challenges in terms of accessible transformations, selectivity and functional group tolerance limit the widespread applicability of this approach. READ MORE

5. Late-stage 11C-carbonylation of drug-like molecules for PET
Abstract : Positron emission tomography (PET) is a non-invasive in vivo imaging technique used for translational biomedical research and clinical diagnosis. A fundamental pre-condition for PET is the radiolabelled tracer molecule used in the emission measurement, and there is a pressing need to accelerate the development of novel PET tracers to meet an increasing demand from the healthcare system, academia and drug industry.
