1. Shb and Its Homologues: Signaling in T Lymphocytes and Fibroblasts
Abstract : Stimulation of the T cell receptor (TCR) induces tyrosine phosphorylation of numerous intracellular proteins, leading to activation of the interleukin-2 (IL-2) gene in T lymphocytes. Shb is a ubiquitously expressed adapter protein, with the ability to associate with the T cell receptor and several signaling proteins in T cells, including: the TCR ζ-chain, LAT, PLC-γ1, Vav, SLP-76 and Gads. 4. Mixers and Multifunctional MMICs for Millimeter-Wave Applications
Abstract : This thesis treats the design and characterization of different mixer and multifunctional monolithic microwave integrated circuits (MMICs) in GaAs pHEMT and mHEMT technologies. The MMICs operate at the V (50 – 75 GHz) and G (140 – 220 GHz) bands and several of them demonstrate state-of-the-art performance, level of integration, novel topologies, and/or novel functionality. 5. Dual Band Prime Focus Feed for Satellite Earth Terminals
Abstract : Satellite Communication systems have been studied and developed since long. With more high frequency satellite bands coming in the market, there is a need to develop suchsystems with multi-band or wideband operation with reconfigurable antennas which can provide simultaneous transmit receive capabilities on different polarizations as well as have properties suitable to track the satellite.
