1. Dynamic Sulfur Chemistry : Screening, Evaluation and Catalysis
Abstract : This thesis deals with the design, formation and evaluation of dynamic systems constructed by means of sulfur-containing reversible reactions, in organic and aqueous media and under mild conditions. In a first part, the synthesis of thioglycoside derivatives, constituting the biologically relevant starting components of the dynamic systems, is described. READ MORE

2. Insights into dynamic covalent chemistry for bioconjugation applications
Abstract : Dynamic covalent chemistry (DCC) is currently exploited in several areas of biomedical applications such as in drug discovery, sensing, molecular separation, catalysis etc. Hydrazone and oxime chemistry have several advantages, such as mild reaction conditions, selectivity, efficiency, and biocompatibility and therefore, have the potential to be for bioconjugation applications. 3. Dynamic Chemistry for Asymmetric Synthesis, Molecular Motion and Constitutional Exchange
Abstract : Living matter is built on complex dynamic systems consisting of numerus biotransformations. By exploiting the adaptive and evolutive behaviors ofmolecular matter, dynamic chemistry has developed as an important tool tounderstand the organization of nonliving matter into complex living systems. 4. Additive-Driven Improvements in Interfacial Properties and Processing of TMP-Polymer Composites
Abstract : Efforts to address environmental concerns have resulted in new regulations designed to plan the reduction of plastic and synthetic polymer usage, necessitating the search for sustainable natural alternatives with comparable cost-effectiveness and mechanical performance. Thermomechanical pulp (TMP) fibres are one of the most affordable natural fibres that have no chemical refining in production, production have a high yield of 90-98% and TMP fibres have been demonstrated to improve the mechanical characteristics (strength, stiffness and toughness) of wood-polymer composites (WPCs) compared to the pure polymer. 5. Catalysis in Dynamic Systems: Control within Molecular Reaction Networks
Abstract : Life as we know it is based on complex networks of biochemical reactions that constantly interact within large dynamic systems. The field of systems chemistry uses chemical models to study how reaction networks – and thereby life – function on a molecular level. READ MORE
