1. From Particle-Production Cross Sections to KERMA and Absorbed Dose for the Case 96 MeV n-12C Interactions
Abstract : Neutron-carbon interactions have been studied with a focus on charged-particle production of relevance to radiation protection and medical applications, such as cancer therapy. The measurements have been performed using the particle-detection setup, MEDLEY, and the 96 MeV neutron beam at the The Svedberg Laboratory in Uppsala. READ MORE

2. Logistic Time Requirements in Fast Sea Transportation Systems
Abstract : The dissertation deals with logistic time requirements in fast sea transportation systems and the benefit of the application of the total time definition. The transportation engineering approach, to create new transport systems with high effectiveness, high service levels and also with high resource utilisation, has to some extent gained acceptance in the transportation industry, but it has not been fully realised that the transport system and the traffic system are not identical and that by focusing on high performance of the traffic system no guarantee is given that the transport system will become effective. 4. Evaluation of Resetting Performance in Cellular Manufacturing Systems - A Structured Approach to Sustainable Improvement of Resetting Performance
Abstract : This thesis deals with the question of how to achieve responsiveness in cellular manufacturing systems, with special emphasis given to the rapid resetting between product runs. Findings from action research in cellular manufacturing systems are presented, along with a comprehensive methodology for resetting improvements based on performance evaluation. READ MORE

5. Sources, emissions, and occurrence of chlorinated paraffins in Stockholm, Sweden
Abstract : Chlorinated paraffins (CPs) are ubiquitous environmental contaminants. They fulfill all of the criteria (persistent, toxic, and subject to long-range transport) for persistent organic pollutants (POPs) according to the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE). READ MORE
