  1. 1. The Interface Between Enterprise Content Management and Records Management in Changing Organizations

    Author : Proscovia Svärd; Karen Anderson; Erik Borglund; Tero Päiviränta; Mittuniversitetet; []
    Keywords : Enterprise Content Management; Records Management; E-government; Long-term Preservation; Business Process Management; Enterprise Architecture.;

    Abstract : The increased demand from citizens for efficient service delivery from public sector organizations has implications for the information that underpins those services. Robust and effective information management is required. Information is looked upon as a resource that can give organizations a competitive edge if it is well leveraged. READ MORE

  2. 2. On the Mechanisms behind the Tribological Performance of Stellites

    Author : Daniel H. E. Persson; Sture Hogmark; Staffan Jacobson; Mikael Olsson; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Materials science; Stellite; Co-based; phase transformation; fcc; hcp; texture; alignment; low-friction; laser cladding; Materialvetenskap; Materials science; Teknisk materialvetenskap;

    Abstract : This thesis reveals the tribological mechanisms behind the intrinsic low friction potential of the Co-based family of alloys called Stellites. Although being an established and important group of materials, a satisfactory explanation to why they exhibit low-friction properties under severe sliding conditions has not previously been found in the literature. 3. 3. The consequences of DNA lesions for mitochondrial DNA maintenance

    Author : Josefin M. E. Forslund; Sjoerd Wanrooij; Nasim Sabouri; Erik Johansson; Claes Gustafsson; Umeå universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Mitochondria; mitochondrial DNA; DNA replication; DNA lesions; DNA polymerase γ; ribonucleotide incorporation; medicinsk biokemi; Medical Biochemistry;

    Abstract : Eukaryotic cells have their own energy-producing organelles called mitochondria. The energy is stored in the adenosine triphosphate (ATP) molecule and is produced via the oxidative phosphorylation process inside the mitochondria. Thirteen of the essential proteins required for this process are encoded on the mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA). READ MORE

  4. 4. Suspended solids and indicator bacteria in stormwater runoff : Sources of bias in field measurements

    Author : Helen Galfi; David Stransky; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; VA-teknik; Urban Water Engineering;

    Abstract : Stormwater quality monitoring and control is a prerequisite for sustainable water resources management in urban areas. Stormwater monitoring programs are based on general water sampling guidance and, in the absence of standard procedures, employ various sampling and analytical methods. READ MORE

  5. 5. Capillary electrophoresis mass spectrometry applied to structural proteomics and small molecule analysis

    Author : Jordan Aerts; Erik T. Jansson; Per E. Andrén; Petr Man; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Capillary Electrophoresis Mass Spectrometry; Hydrogen Deuterium Exchange Mass Spectrometry; Enantioselective Separations; Drugs of Abuse; Analytical Chemistry; Analytisk kemi; Analytisk farmaceutisk kemi; Analytical Pharmaceutical Chemistry; Kemi med inriktning mot analytisk kemi; Chemistry with specialization in Analytical Chemistry; Biology with specialization in Structural Biology; Biologi med inriktning mot strukturbiologi;

    Abstract : Capillary electrophoresis with mass spectrometric (CE–MS) detection offers a separation method without equal in terms of flexibility, utility, and cost efficiency. Here we demonstrate precisely this through the application of several laboratory-built CE–MS instruments for the separation of brain metabolites in non-primates, enantioselective separations of synthetic anesthetic metabolites in fractionated pony urine, application in structural proteomics workflows, and identification of exogenous alkaloid biotransformationproducts in human cerebrospinal fluid (CSF).
