  1. 1. Condition measuring and lifetime modelling of electrical power transmission equipment

    University dissertation from Stockhom : KTH Royal Institute of Technology

    Author : Per Westerlund; KTH.; [2015]
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; disconnectors; circuit breakers; reliability; lifetime; electric contacts; electric power transmission; Electrical Engineering; Elektro- och systemteknik;

    Abstract : The electric grid is important in modern society, so the outages should be few. The transmission grid should have a real high availability, since it transports electrical energy across the country. Then, it is difficult to plan outages for maintenance and installation. READ MORE

  2. 2. On reliability and maintenance modelling of ageing equipment in electric power systems

    University dissertation from Stockholm : KTH

    Author : Tommie Lindquist; KTH.; [2008]
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Reliability; maintenance; electric power systems; circuit breaker; disconnector; thermography; TECHNOLOGY Electrical engineering; electronics and photonics Electric power engineering; TEKNIKVETENSKAP Elektroteknik; elektronik och fotonik Elkraftteknik;

    Abstract : Maintenance optimisation is essential to achieve cost-efficiency, availability and reliability of supply in electric power systems. The process of maintenance optimisation requires information about the costs of preventive and corrective maintenance, as well as the costs of failures borne by both electricity suppliers and customers. 3. 3. Nanomechanics – Quantum Size Effects, Contacts, and Triboelectricity

    University dissertation from Sundsvall : Mid Sweden University

    Author : Martin Olsen; Mittuniversitetet.; [2019]
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; triboelectricity; adatom; ion; charge; mound; quantum size effect; triboelctric nanogenerator; TENG; wind driven; contact; nanomechanics; fri electron model; nanowire cantilever;

    Abstract : Nanomechanics is different from the mechanics that we experience in everyday life. At the nano-scale, typically defined as 1 to 100 nanometers, some phenomena are of crucial importance, while the same phenomena can be completely neglected on a larger scale. READ MORE

  4. 4. Lubrication of elastohydrodynamic contacts, mainly concerning low temperature

    University dissertation from Luleå : Luleå tekniska universitet

    Author : Jan Ove Östensen; [1995]
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Maskinelement; Machine Elements;

    Abstract : The limiting shear stress coefficient has been studied in a impacting ball apparatus for four different lubricating oils at -30ºC and 20ºC. The results show that the most interesting effects are; oil type, maximum contact pressure, temperature, and the interaction between the above mentioned parameters. READ MORE

  5. 5. Processing and characterization of silicon carbide (6H-SiC and 4H-SiC) contacts for high power and high temperature device applications

    University dissertation from Kista : Mikroelektronik och informationsteknik
