    Abstract : For integration of additive manufacturing into industrial production, there is a need for capable yet robust automation solutions. Such solutions are to ensure consistent process outputs, both with regard to deposit geometry and material properties. READ MORE

  3. 3. Integration of Surface Acoustic Wave and Microfluidic Technologies for Liquid-Phase Sensing Applications

    Author : Kiryl Kustanovich; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; IDE; Resonator; SH-SAW; Impedance Spectroscopy; Surface Acoustic Wave; PDMS; LiNbO3; Microfluidics; Sensor;

    Abstract : This thesis discusses a new concept for construction of a novel SAW in-liquid sensor employing surface acoustic wave resonance (SAR) in a one-port configuration. In this concept, the reflective gratings of a one-port SAW resonator are employed as mass loading-sensing elements, while the SAW transducer is protected from the measurement environment, reducing power losses significantly. 4. 4. Voltage sag ride-through of AC drives : control and analysis

    Author : Kai Pietiläinen; Hans-Peter Nee; Olli Pyrhönen; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Electronic measurement and instrumentation; Elektronisk mät- och apparatteknik;

    Abstract : This thesis focuses on controller design and analysis for induction motor (IM) drives, flux control for electrically excited synchronous motors with damper windings (EESMs), and to enhance voltage sag ride-through ability and analysis for a wind turbine application with a full-power grid-connected active rectifier. The goal is to be able to use the existing equipment, without altering the hardware. READ MORE

  5. 5. Mm-wave Radio Astronomy Instrumentation for the Onsala Space Observatory and SEST

    Author : Nicholas D. Whyborn; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; mm-wave receiver; phase retrieval holography; focal plane imaging array; radio astronomy instrumentation; SIS mixer;

    Abstract : The thesis presents work done in developing instrumentation for mm- and submm-wave radio astronomy. The work described is in several fields. The greater part of the thesis is concerned with sensitive heterodyne receivers and in particular the cryogenically cooled mixers. In paper A the SEST telescope and its observing system are described. READ MORE
