  1. 1. Design and Security Analysis of TRNGs and PUFs

    Author : Yang Yu; Elena Dubrova; Zhonghai Lu; Ilia Polian; KTH; []
    Keywords : ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Cryptographic primitive; Physical Unclonable Function; True Random Number Generator; Hardware security; Side-channel analysis; Informations- och kommunikationsteknik; Information and Communication Technology;

    Abstract : True Random Number Generators (TRNGs) and Physical Unclonable Functions (PUFs) are two important types of cryptographic primitives. TRNGs create a hardware-based, non-deterministic noise that is often used for generating keys, initialization vectors, and nonces for various applications that require cryptographic protection. 2. 2. Examining the prostate stroma and vasculature : importance and potential as targets for therapy

    Author : Anna Johansson; Anders Bergh; Arne Östman; Umeå universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Prostate cancer; castration therapy; vasculature; stroma; the angiopoietins; the PDGF-receptors; mast cells; Pathology; Patologi;

    Abstract : Background. Recent studies in cancer research have focused on the reciprocal interaction between cancer cells and their microenvironment. Tumour growth is angiogenesis dependent and the rate of angiogenesis correlates with a poor prognosis in many different cancers. READ MORE

  3. 3. Power-generation, Power-electronics and Power-systems issues of Power Converters for Photovoltaic Applications

    Author : Björn Lindgren; Chalmers University of Technology; []
    Keywords : power systems; bang-bang control; shading tolerance; power quality; photovoltaic; embedded generation; current control; solar power generation;

    Abstract : The thesis deals with issues related to solar energy systems, or more specifically, the electric systems of photovoltaic (PV) installations. Initially aspects of planning and estimating the performance of a PV-installation are considered. READ MORE

  4. 4. 2nd and 3rd generation electrodes for biosensors and biofuel cells

    Author : MNadeem Zafar; Biokemi och Strukturbiologi; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; WrbA; pyranose dehydrogenase; cellobiose dehydrogenase; glucose dehydrogenase; direct electron transfer; Os-polymers; mediated electron transfer; single-walled carbon nanotubes; amperometric biosensor; biofuel cell; screen-printed electrodes; flow injection analysis; cascade reaction; bioanode;

    Abstract : The catalytic and electrochemical properties of tryptophan repressor-binding protein (WrbA), pyranose dehydrogenase (PDH), cellobiose dehydrogenase (CDH) and glucose dehydrogenase (GDH) on carbon electrodes were investigated using cyclic voltammetry and flow injection amperometry to construct biosensors and biofuel cell (BFC) anodes. WrbA has a catalytic FMN-containing domain whereas both PDH and GDH have a catalytic FAD-containing domains. READ MORE

  5. 5. Regulation and function of thioredoxin reductase 1 in human tumor cells

    Author : Markus Selenius; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : The thioredoxin system is a general protein disulfide reductase system present in all organisms. Its function is to maintain an intracellular reducing environment and upholding a defense against reactive oxygen species generated as by-products of aerobic metabolism. READ MORE
