  1. 16. A Business Ecology Perspective on Community-Driven Open Source : The Case of the Free and Open Source Content Management System Joomla

    Author : Markus Radits; Alf Westelius; Nils-Göran Olve; Carl-Johan Petri; Anna Öhrwall Rönnbäck; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES;

    Abstract : This thesis approaches the phenomenon of open source software (OSS) from a managerial and organisational point of view. In a slightly narrower sense, this thesis studies commercialisation aspects around community-driven open source. READ MORE

  2. 17. Fibre-Optic AWG Networks Supporting Real-Time Communication in High-Performance Embedded Systems

    Author : Kristina Kunert; Magnus Jonsson; Högskolan i Halmstad; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; real-time communication; medium access control MAC protocol; traffic dependency analysis; network architecture; Arrayed Waveguide Grating AWG ; optical communication; real-time analysis; optical network; Computer engineering;

    Abstract : High-performance embedded systems communicating heterogeneous traffic with high bandwidth and strict timing requirements are in need of more efficient communication solutions. This thesis proposes two multi-wavelength passive optical networks able to meet these demands. READ MORE

  3. 18. Towards Model-Based Condition Monitoring of Railway Switches and Crossings

    Author : Marko Milosevic; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; sleeper void; Switches crossings; condition indicators; embedded sleeper accelerometer; multi-body simulations; dynamic vehicle–track interaction; MBS; S C; wheel–rail contact forces; condition monitoring; crossing rail geometry; displacement reconstruction.; model calibration;

    Abstract : Railway switches and crossings (S&C, turnouts) connect different track sections and create a railway network by allowing for trains to change between tracks. This functionality comes at a cost as the load-inducing rail discontinuities in the switch and crossing panels cause much higher degradation rates for S&C compared to regular plain line track. 4. 19. Resource Base Change and Development during the Internationalization Process: The Case of a Swedish Fashion Firm

    Author : Marissa Ekdahl; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Keywords : SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; internationalization process; resources; capabilities; dynamic capabilities;

    Abstract : This thesis examines the processes that define the change and development of a firm’s resources and capabilities during the internationalization process. Prior research shows that a firm’s resources and capabilities have an important impact on the internationalization process, either hindering or enabling it. READ MORE

  5. 20. Patterns of resource interaction in resource constellations: The case of start-ups approaching the Swedish energy system

    Author : Maria Landqvist; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Swedish energy system; Resource Development; Business Networks; Start-ups; Interfaces;

    Abstract : This doctoral thesis deals with resource interaction in business networks. Interactive resource development is based on a combination of new and existing resources. However, interactions with specific resource constellations will look different depending on the context in which a new resource is to be embedded. READ MORE
