1. Probabilistic Calibration of Building Energy Models : For Scalable and Detailed Energy Performance Assessment of District-Heated Multifamily Buildings
Abstract : There is a global need to reduce energy consumption and integrate a larger share of renewable energy production while meeting expectations for human well-being and economic growth. Buildings have a key role to play in this transition to more sustainable cities and communities. READ MORE

2. High temperature aerosol formation and emission minimisation during combustion of wood pellets
Abstract : Combustion of solid biomass under fixed bed conditions is a common technique to generate heat and power in both small and large scale grate furnaces (domestic boilers, stoves, district heating plants). From both an environmental and economical perspective, one of the most interesting alternatives to replace oil and electricity for heating of family houses and apartments in Sweden is wood pellets made of stem wood sawdust from pine and spruce. 3. Adaptive Multidimensional Filtering
Abstract : This thesis contains a presentation and an analysis of adaptive filtering strategies for multidimensional data. The size, shape and orientation of the flter are signal controlled and thus adapted locally to each neighbourhood according to a predefined model. READ MORE

4. On integrity assessment of IGBT-based power stacks used in magnet power supplies for particle accelerators
Abstract : This thesis analyses an electrical testing method for assessing the integrity of an IGBT-based power stack assembly during factory acceptance tests and service stops. The method combines vce measurements with high current in the Zero Temperature Coefficient (ZTC) operating region and with low sensing current within a specific current cycle using a proposed sampling and filtering technique. 5. Studies of Top Physics Sensitivity and of Pile-Up Effects on Energy Reconstruction in the ATLAS Detector : A Licentiate Thesis About the Treatment of Troublesome $\tau$ and Producing Pulses to Probe Pile-up Problems
Abstract : This thesis presents two studies conducted using the ATLAS detectorat the Large Hadron Collider. The first one is a technical study abouthow out-of-time pile-up affects energy reconstruction using the optimalfiltering 2 algorithm in the TILE calorimeter sub detector. The studyis conducted using a pulse simulator software that is also described. READ MORE
