7. Method for inductive case-based decision support system over the Internet : exemplified by ear, nose and throat diagnostics in primary care
Abstract : This thesis is an example of an ear to loaf process:A Preliminary Essential Data Set (PEDS) for Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) diagnostics in Primary Health Care (PHC) was established by infologic modelling of existing tractates, between the specialist organisations of ENT and PHC, and four contemporary text-books on the subject (I). The PEDS was then compared to the aggregated data from a sample of case-files from a Swedish PHC centre. READ MORE

8. Motivation, students, and the classroom environment : exploring the role of Swedish students’ achievement goals in chemistry
Abstract : The overarching aim of this thesis is to deepen the knowledge about students’ achievement goals in chemistry and how they relate to students’ epistemic beliefs (beliefs about knowledge) and to their perceptions of classroom goal structures (instructional practices that emphasize certain achievement goals). Achievement goals are defined as the purpose behind students’ engagement in achievement behavior. READ MORE

9. Synthesis and Energy Transfer Studies of a Donor-Host-Acceptor Triad
Abstract : This dissertation describes the synthesis of a donor-host-acceptor triad, D-H-A, and its self-assembly into a well-ordered dimer. The energy transfer (EnT) properties of D-H-A as it is, in the presence of a variety of guest molecules and in the dimeric form are presented. READ MORE

10. Transport phenomena in quantum wells and wires in presence of disorder and interactions
Abstract : Present-day electronics employ circuits of smaller and smaller dimensions, and today the length scales are so small that the laws of physics which rule micro-cosmos, quantum mechanics, become directly important. This thesis reports on theoretical work on electron transport in different nanostructures. READ MORE
