The modern state has been pivotal to the meaning of security, territory and authority?concepts central to the idea of the international?but they do not necessarily have to be tied to the state. 2. Extreme wave conditions and the impact on wave energy converters
Abstract : The amount of energy enclosed in ocean waves has been classified as one of the most promising renewable energy sources. Nowadays, different wave energy conversion (WEC) systems are being investigated, but only a few concepts have been operated in a sea environment. READ MORE

3. Atlantic Water in the Nordic Seas : A satellite altimetry perspective on ocean circulation
Abstract : The Atlantic Water in the Nordic Seas contributes to the mild climate of Northern Europe and is the main oceanic source of heat for the Arctic. The northward bound transport of the warm and saline Atlantic Water is mediated by a topographically constrained cyclonic boundary current along the Norwegian continental slope. READ MORE

4. Controlled fragmentation and contours in rock blasting : theoretical and technical approaches
Abstract : The Swedish mining and construction industries have a large interest in improving blasting technology, in milling concerning rock fragmentation by blasting (especially underground in large diameter hole blasting, > 100 mm) and in construction and mining concerning controlled and safe contours in blasted tunnels. This doctoral thesis deals with these matters and includes a licentiate thesis (published in 1970) and five papers A-E included in the doctoral thesis and published during 1983 to 1992. READ MORE

5. Regional gravity and auxiliary geophysical measurements in the Songkhla, Yala and Pattani provinces in the peninsular Thailand and their geological interpretation
Abstract : A regional gravity survey and VES measurements were carried out in Songkla-Yala-Pattani provinces of Peninsular Thailand, an area between latitudes 6º 15'N and 7º 15'N and longitudes 100º 15'E and 101º 30'E. In addition the aeromagnetic maps of the area have been analyzed qualitatively as well as quantitatively in this thesis, an analysis that has not been undertaken before this. READ MORE
