6. Making Head or Tail of the Hippocampus : A Long-Axis Account of Episodic and Spatial Memory
Abstract : While episodic and spatial memory both depend on the hippocampus, opposite gender differences in these functions suggest they are partly separate, with different neural underpinnings. The anterior and posterior hippocampus differ in structure and whole-brain connectivity, and studies point to the posterior hippocampus being more involved in spatial memory while the anterior hippocampus’ role in episodic memory is less clear. 7. The alluring nature of episodic odor memory : Sensory and cognitive correlates across age and sex
Abstract : Episodic memory for olfactory information is still relatively uncharted. The overall purpose of this thesis is to investigate the sensory and cognitive causes of the well-established age-related decline in olfactory episodic odor memory and of the age-independent sex difference in olfactory episodic memory. 8. Motivation and episodic memory performance
Abstract : In everyday life, motivation and learning are connected like music and dancing. Many educators realize this and work hard to improve their students' motivation. A motivated student may repeat and self-rehearse the content of a chapter more often, which leads to better learning. READ MORE

9. Gaze control in episodic memory

10. Human olfaction : Associations with longitudinal assessment of episodic memory, dementia, and mortality risk
Abstract : A declining sense of smell is a common feature in older age. Above and beyond diminished smelling capacity due to normal processes of human aging, impairments in olfactory function have also been linked to numerous ill-health related outcomes, such as cognitive dysfunctions, dementia pathology and even an increased risk of death.
