1. Vitamin A regulated neuronal regeneration and homeostasis
Abstract : The olfactory epithelium is a dynamic tissue maintained by continuous neurogenesis throughout life. Upon injury, neurons and other olfactory cell types are regenerated through proliferation of horizontal stem cells. Some genes that regulate vitamin A metabolism are spatially expressed in the olfactory epithelium. READ MORE

2. Isoform-specific regulation of Drosophila gut immunity and regeneration by the POU/Oct transcription factor Nub/Pdm1
Abstract : Innate immune reactions protect organisms against a variety of infections. In metazoans, these reactions involve both cellular and humoral responses. The immune responses have to be well-tuned, as excessive immune activation is associated with tissue-specific pathologies. READ MORE

3. TGF-B signaling in Neuroblastoma and Renal Cell Carcinoma
Abstract : The tubular cells of the adult kidney are normally mitotically quiescent, in stark contrast to the massive regenerative capacity of the injured renal epithelium. In Paper I we characterized a new cell population of progenitor cells using ALDH as a selection marker. READ MORE

4. Flexible fiberoptic bronchoscopy : studies on methods for the diagnosis of carcinoma of the lung, bronchial mucosal damage and haemodynamic effects
Abstract : The diagnostic accuracy attained with the use of transbronchial fine needle aspiration biopsy, aspiration of bronchial secretion, bronchial washing, brush biopsy and forceps biopsy via a flexible fiberoptic bronchoscope was compared in patients with carcinoma of the lung. In endoscopic visible tumours the sensitivity of forceps biopsy was higher than that of the other methods. READ MORE
