  1. 21. Evaluating Success Factors of Health Information Systems

    Author : Shahryar Eivazzadeh; Peter Anderberg; Johan Sanmartin Berglund; Tobias Larsson; Markus Fiedler; Maria Lindén; Blekinge Tekniska Högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Health Information Systems; Health Information Technology; Health Informatics; eHealth; Digital Health; Evaluation; Information Systems Evaluation; Health Technology Assessment; User Satisfaction; Technophilia; Evaluation and Research Ethics; System Design;

    Abstract : Health information systems are our technological response to the growing demand for health care. However, their success in their mission can be challenging due to the complexity of evaluating technological interventions in health care. In the series of studies compiled in this dissertation, we looked at the evaluation of these systems. READ MORE

  4. 24. Word Vector Representations using Shallow Neural Networks

    Author : Oluwatosin Adewumi; Marcus Liwicki; Marco Kuhlmann; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Word vectors; NLP; Neural networks; Embeddings; Maskininlärning; Machine Learning;

    Abstract : This work highlights some important factors for consideration when developing word vector representations and data-driven conversational systems. The neural network methods for creating word embeddings have gained more prominence than their older, count-based counterparts. READ MORE

  5. 25. Vector Representations of Idioms in Data-Driven Chatbots for Robust Assistance

    Author : Oluwatosin Adewumi; Marcus Liwicki; Foteini Liwicki; Taiwo Kolajo; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; conversational system; chatbot; vectors; data; deep models; Maskininlärning; Machine Learning;

    Abstract : This thesis presents resources capable of enhancing solutions of some Natural Language Processing (NLP) tasks, demonstrates the learning of abstractions by deep models through cross-lingual transferability, and shows how deep learning models trained on idioms can enhance open-domain conversational systems. The challenges of open-domain conversational systems are many and include bland repetitive utterances, lack of utterance diversity, lack of training data for low-resource languages, shallow world-knowledge and non-empathetic responses, among others.
