1. Risk analysis : a tool in decision-making
Abstract : In our daily life we are surrounded by different kind of risks and we constantly strive for better methods to quantify and in the prolongation manage these risks. Every activity involves some risks and there are some kinds of risks and some level of risks that we are unwilling to accept. READ MORE

2. Uncertainty and Risk Analysis in Fire Safety Engineering
Abstract : Two Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA) methods are presented which can be used to quantify the risk to occupants in, for example, a building in which a fire has broken out. The extended QRA considers the inherent uncertainty in the variables explicitly. READ MORE

4. Vehicle Dynamics Control after Impacts in Multiple-Event Accidents
Abstract : Accidents statistics show that multiple-event accidents (MEAs) represent a considerable and increasing proportion of all vehicle traffic accidents. MEAs are characterized by having at least one vehicle subjected to more than one harmful event. MEAs now comprise approximately 25% of all passenger vehicle accidents. READ MORE

5. On LQG-Optimal Event-Based Sampling
Abstract : Event-based control is a promising concept for the design of resource-efficient feedback systems, where events such as sampling, actuation, and data transmissions are triggered reactively based on monitored control performance rather than a periodic timer. In this thesis, we investigate how sampling and communication events should be triggered to fully exploit the potential of event-based control based on the classic linear–quadratic–Gaussian (LQG) framework.
