  1. 1. Modeling and Analysis of PMSM with Turn-To-Turn Fault

    University dissertation from ; Chalmers tekniska högskola; Gothenburg

    Author : Joachim Härsjö; [2016]
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; electromagnetic forces; vibration.; inter-turn; fault; fault detection; turn-to-turn fault; Permanent magnet synchronous machine PMSM modeling;

    Abstract : Thanks to its high-torque density and high efficiency, the Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machine (PMSM) is today used in a vast range of applications, spanning from automotive to wind. Since in a PMSM the excitation field is provided by a permanent magnet instead of a coil, this machine does not have a rotor circuit and thereby the risk for electrical failures can be isolated on the stator circuit. 2. 2. Statistical Fault Detection with Applications to IMU Disturbances

    University dissertation from Institutionen för systemteknik

    Author : David Törnqvist; Linköpings universitet.; Linköpings universitet.; [2006]
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Fault detection; Linear systems; State-space models; Signal processing; State estimation; Fault observability; Inertial Measurement Unit; TECHNOLOGY Information technology Automatic control; TEKNIKVETENSKAP Informationsteknik Reglerteknik;

    Abstract : This thesis deals with the problem of detecting faults in an environment where the measurements are affected by additive noise. To do this, a residual sensitive to faults is derived and statistical methods are used to distinguish faults from noise. READ MORE

  3. 3. Diagnosability performance analysis of models and fault detectors

    University dissertation from Linköping : Linköping University Electronic Press

    Author : Daniel Jung; Linköpings universitet.; Linköpings universitet.; [2015]
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Fault detection; Fault isolation; FDI; Kullback-Leibler divergence; Engine misfire detection;

    Abstract : Model-based diagnosis compares observations from a system with predictions using a mathematical model to detect and isolate faulty components. Analyzing which faults that can be detected and isolated given the model gives useful information when designing a diagnosis system. READ MORE

  4. 4. Modeling of PMSM Full Power Converter Wind Turbine with Turn-To-Turn Fault

    University dissertation from Linköping : Linköping University Electronic Press

    Author : Joachim Härsjö; [2014]
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; turn-to-turn; full power converter wind turbine; permanent magnet synchronous machine PMSM modeling; fault detection.; fault; Wind turbine modeling; Wind energy;

    Abstract : Over the past several years the number of renewable energy installations has shown a strong increase rate. Due to the ambition to close down fossil and nuclear power plants, this rate of increase is not expected to decline during the coming decades. In particular, wind energy represents one of the most dominant renewable energy sources. READ MORE

  5. 5. On Aspect-Oriented Implementation of Fault Tolerance

    University dissertation from Linköping : Linköping University Electronic Press

    Author : Ruben Alexandersson; [2010]
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Aspect-Oriented Programming; Fault Tolerance; Error Detection; Fault Injection;

    Abstract : This thesis investigates the use of aspect-oriented programming for the purpose of implementing fault-tolerance in software. The feasibility of aspect-oriented programming languages is evaluated from the perspectives of expressiveness, overhead, and fault coverage. READ MORE
