  1. 21. Managing Software Quality through Empirical Analysis of Fault Detection

    Author : Carina Andersson; Institutionen för datavetenskap; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; kontroll; numerisk analys; Data- och systemvetenskap; Software engineering; Software fault detection; numerical analysis; Computer science; systems; Datalogi; control; computer technology; Quality management; Systems engineering; system;

    Abstract : Software often constitutes a large share of today's products. To deliver a product with the level of software quality expected by the customer, software development organizations need to manage quality achievement and assessment. In practice, quality is often referred to as the lack of bugs. READ MORE

  2. 22. A Fault Detection Framework Using Recurrent Neural Networks for Condition Monitoring of Wind Turbines

    Author : Yue Cui; Lina Bertling; Pramod Bangalore; Bikash C Pal; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; asset management; condition monitoring; fault detection; preventive maintenance; recurrent neural networks; two-stage threshold; wind power; kapitalförvaltning; underhållsstyrning; tillståndsövervakning; feldetektering; förebyggande underhåll; återkommande neurala nätverk; tvåstegs tröskel; vindkraft; Electrical Engineering; Elektro- och systemteknik;

    Abstract : The global energy system is experiencing a transition to a sustainable system with ambitious targets for increased use of renewable energy. One key trend for this transition has been the large introduction of wind power and integration into the electricity grid. READ MORE

  3. 23. Power System Oscillations - Detection, Estimation and Control

    Author : Morten Hemmingsson; Industriell elektroteknik och automation; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Elektroteknik; oscillation; power system; damping; power swing; distance protection; detection; estimation; real-time; reactive co-variation; control; Electrical engineering; load modulation; Automation; robotics; control engineering; Automatiska system; robotteknik; reglerteknik;

    Abstract : The topic of this thesis is the electro-mechanical oscillations which to some extent always are present in a power system. The demand of electric power is ever increasing. At the same time, the tolerance of disruptions in the power supply is decreasing. READ MORE

  4. 24. Multiple-Bit Errors in Computer Systems

    Author : Rolf Johansson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; fault sim ulation; fault tolerance; single event upsets; error-correcting codes; multiple-bit errors; transient faults; fault modelling; physical fault injection;

    Abstract : This thesis discusses the types of transient faults caused by heavy-ion or a-particle radiation that manifest as multiple-bit errors and how information redundancy techniques can achieve fault tolerance with respect to some classes of multiple-bit errors. The first part of the thesis considers the fault modelling problem, beginning with the problem of how single event upsets (SEUs) originating from faults in register cells in microprocessors manifest as primary errors. 5. 25. Fault detection in district heating substations

    Author : Kimmo Yliniemi; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Industriell elektronik; Industrial Electronics;

    Abstract : This thesis gives a summary of different faults that occur in district heating substations and suggests ways of detecting them. The aim of the research has been to achieve fault detection using only the heat meter and the sensors connected to it, namely two temperature sensors and one flow meter. READ MORE
