  1. 1. Fc receptors and feedback regulation by antibodies

    Author : Mikael Karlsson; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Genetics; Mouse; B lymphocytes; Fc; receptors; IgG; IgE; FcgRI; FcgRII; FcgRIII; Fc e RI; CD23; Rh prophylaxis; Haemolytic disease of the newborn; Genetik; Clinical genetics; Klinisk genetik; Pathology; patologi;

    Abstract : The purpose of this investigation was to determine the role of Fc receptors for IgG (FcγRI, FcγRIIB, FcγRIII and FcRn) in immunoregulation. IgG is known to enhance the response to soluble antigens such as bovine serum albumin whereas the response to particulate antigens is suppressed. READ MORE

  2. 2. Feedback Enhancement of Antibody Responses via Complement and Fc Receptors

    Author : Jörgen Dahlström; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Genetics; Mouse; transgenic knockout; immune regulation; B lymphocytes; Fc receptors; complement; IgG; IgM; IgE; Fc-gamma-RI; Fc-gamma-RII; Fc-gamma-RIII; CR1; CR2; CD21; CD35; Genetik; Clinical genetics; Klinisk genetik; Pathology; patologi;

    Abstract : IgG, IgM and IgE in complex with antigen have the capacity to regulate specific immune responses. In this investigation, the role of Fc receptors for IgG (FcγRI, FcγRII and FcγRIII) and complement receptors 1 and 2 (CR1/2) for antibody-mediated enhancement of antibody responses are investigated. 3. 3. Fc receptors and feedback enhancement of antibody responses

    Author : Sara Wernersson; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Genetics; mouse; transgenic knockout; immune regulation; B lymphocytes; Fc receptors; IgG; IgE; FcgRI; FcgRII; FcgRIII; CD23; Genetik; Clinical genetics; Klinisk genetik; Pathology; patologi;

    Abstract : Antibodies are important for the defence against microorganisms, but are also involved inpathological reactions such as allergy or autoimmunity. The exact mechanisms involved inregulation of antibody responses is still largely unknown. In this thesis, immune regulationby antibodies and the receptors they bind to (FcR), were investigated. 4. 4. The Role of Fc Gamma Receptors in Experimental Arthritis

    Author : Maria Andrén; Sandra Kleinau; Birgitta Heyman; Roland Jonsson; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Immunology; Rheumatoid arthritis; Antibodies; Fc receptors; Complement; Transgenic Knockout mice; Immunologi; Immunology; Immunologi;

    Abstract : Induction of collagen-induced arthritis (CIA), an animal model for human rheumatoid arthritis, is dependent on anti-collagen type II (CII) antibodies. The effector mechanism by which autoantibodies contribute to inflammatory reactions in autoimmune diseases is not well understood. READ MORE

  5. 5. Combinatorial Methodology. Screening for affinity specific ligands to biological and artificial receptors

    Author : Margareta Krook; Tillämpad biokemi; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; peptide library; combinatorial; screening; phage display; affinity; DNA-interaction; chymotrypsin; peptide inhibitor; antibody; IgG; Fc; molecular imprinting; steroid; receptor; Biochemistry; Metabolism; Biokemi; Biotechnology; Bioteknik;

    Abstract : Combinatorial screening methodology has been employed to select new affinity specific ligands to bilogical and artificial receptors. The screening methodology, in particular screening of combinatorial phage display peptide libraries against target molecules differing in function and shape, is focused upon. READ MORE
