1. Switching ON Fetal B Lymphopoiesis
Abstract : B-1a cells are innate-like lymphocytes that develop primarily during fetal and neonatal life, whereas adult bone marrow (BM) hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) preferentially give rise to follicular B-2 cells. Functioning at the interface of the innate and adaptive immune systems, B-1a cells provide a non-redundant first line of defense prior to the temporally delayed establishment of a B-2 cell response. 2. The role of Lhx2 in the hematopoietic stem cell function, liver development and disease
Abstract : During embryonic development, generation of functional organs is dependent on proper interactions between different cell types. Elucidation of the mechanisms operating during organ formation might provide insights into the origin of many pathological disorders in the adult. READ MORE

3. The Role of Lhx2 During Organogenesis : - Analysis of the Hepatic, Hematopoietic and Olfactory Systems
Abstract : During embryonic development a variety of tissues and organs such as the lung, eye, and kidney are being formed. The generation of functional organs is regulated by reciprocal cell-cell interactions. Via the secretion of soluble molecules one type of cells affect the fate of their neighboring cells. READ MORE

4. Fetal hematopoietic cells in early gestation : aspects in view of fetal transplantation
Abstract : The fetus as a patient is a challenge. There are opportunities for early, sometimes life-saving procedures or there may be advantages in prenatal rather than postnatal intervention. This is the case in fetal hematopoietic cell (FHC) transplantation where conditions caused by a defect in blood cell formation may be life-threatening to the fetus. READ MORE

5. Protein tyrosine kinases in insulin producing cells : Expression and putative importance for beta-cell function
Abstract : Protein tyrosine kinases are of importance for cell replication and differentiation in manysystems. The mechanisms controlling the replication and differentiation of insulin producingcells are unknown. READ MORE
