  1. 1. Synchronous Reluctance Machine (SynRM) in Variable Speed Drives (VSD) Applications

    Author : Reza Rajabi Moghaddam; Chandur Sadarangani; Alfredo Vagati; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Synchronous Reluctance Machine SynRM ; Torque; Torque Ripple; Design; Optimization; FEM; Control; Standard Size; Measurement; Performance Comparison; Induction Machine IM ; Interior Permanent Magnet Machine IPM ; Variable Speed Drive VSD ; General Purpose GP ; Field Oriented Control FOC ; Direct Torque Control DTC ; Heat Run; Test; Thermal; Operation Diagram; Circle Diagram; Electrical engineering; Elektroteknik;

    Abstract : This thesis is comprehensively dedicated to the theoretical and experimental reevaluation of the Synchronous Reluctance Machine (SynRM). A simple approach to derive the SynRM main characteristics and behavior is followed. An introduction to an evaluation of the different control strategies in is given. READ MORE

  2. 2. Robust Control of an Induction Motor Drive

    Author : Henrik Mosskull; Bo Wahlberg; Marian Kazmiekowski; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Automatic control; Reglerteknik;

    Abstract : This thesis considers robust control of an induction motor drive, consisting of an input filter, a voltage source inverter and one or several induction motors in parallel. The motor torque is here controlled by using the method Indirect Self Control (ISC), and power oscillations between the inverter and the input filter are damped by means of a stabilization controller in an outer feedback loop. 3. 3. Integrated Motor Drives and Battery Chargers for Electric or Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles

    Author : Saeid Haghbin; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; maximum torque per Ampere strategy.; integrated motor drive and battery chargers; field-oriented control; battery charger; isolated and non-isolated integrated charges; Plug-in vehicles; split-phase PM motor;

    Abstract : Plug-in vehicles, electric vehicles or plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, use grid power to charge the battery. The components in the traction circuit, like the electric motor and the inverter, are not used during the battery charging, so there is a possibility to use them in the charger circuit to reduce the size, weight and price of the on-board charger; that is called an integrated motor drive and battery charger or simply an integrated charger which can be galvanically isolated or non-isolated from the utility grid.
