  2. 12. Iterative solution of Maxwell's equations in frequency domain

    Author : Martin Nilsson; Per Lötstedt; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Numerical Analysis; Numerisk analys;

    Abstract : We have developed an iterative solver for the Moment Method. It computes a matrix–vector product with the multilevel Fast Multipole Method, which makes the method scale with the number of unknowns. The iterative solver is of Block Quasi-Minimum Residual type and can handle several right-hand sides at once. READ MORE

  3. 13. Musculoskeletal disorders in Swedish military aircrew : screening and clinical examination of the cervico-thoracic region

    Author : Matthias Tegern; Ulrika Aasa; Björn Äng; Karin Harms-Ringdahl; Mari Lundberg; Umeå universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Musculoskeletal disorders; Pain; Swedish Armed Forces; aircrew; pilots; physiotherapy; reliability; sjukgymnastik; Physiotherapy;

    Abstract : Musculoskeletal disorders (MSD) are a common and growing occupational problem in military aircrew. Intervention studies attempting to reduce such issues have only showed limited preventive effects. Furthermore, in-depth knowledge of the clinical presentation of aircrew members with painful episodes is lacking. READ MORE

  4. 14. Flight Test System Identification

    Author : Roger Larsson; Martin Enqvist; Lennart Ljung; Roy Smith; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Abstract : With the demand for more advanced fighter aircraft, relying on unstable flight mechanical characteristics to gain flight performance, more focus has been put on model-based system engineering to help with the design work. The flight control system design is one important part that relies on this modeling. READ MORE

  5. 15. On Credibility Assessment in Aircraft System Simulation

    Author : Magnus Eek; Johan Ölvander; Hampus Gavel; Manfred Roza; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Abstract : The aeronautical industry is becoming increasingly reliant on Modeling and Simulation (M&S) for use throughout all system development phases, for system verification, and end-user training. To justify and to utilize the full potential of today’s model-based approach, the development of efficient and industrially applicable methods for credibility assessment of M&S efforts is a key challenge.
