1. Control of Structure of Filled Polymer Blends
Abstract : This thesis deals with the control and analysis of the structure of filled immiscible polypropylene (PP) blends. The intention has also been to implement the knowledge gained in respect of commercially interesting systems as filled PP/(ethylene propylene copolymer (EP)) blends. READ MORE

2. Coronal restoration in root-filled and non root-filled teeth : studies on periapical status, tooth survival, subsequent treatments and treatment decisions
Abstract : The overall aim of this thesis was to study the following aspects ofdirect and indirect coronal restoration, primarily of root-filled teeth, withspecial reference to:• periapical health• the natural course of root-filled teeth, particularly furtherclinical intervention• the dentist´s decision-making process for root-filled teeth. The aims of coronal restoration are to restore the function and aestheticsof the tooth, with a tight marginal seal as protection from microbialleakage. 3. Helium Filled Bubbles in Solids : Nucleation, Growth and Swelling
Abstract : When nuclear fuel, fabricated for the purpose of transmuting spent fuel is irradiated, significant amounts of He is produced from alpha particles mainly emitted when 242Cm decays into 238Pu. From irradiation experiments it is known that the presence of He in the solids alters the swelling behaviour of the material. READ MORE

4. Modelling of the Fletcher-Gent effect and obtaining hyperelastic parameters for filled elastomers
Abstract : The strain amplitude dependency , i.e. the Fletcher-Gent effect and Payne effect, and the strain rate dependency of rubber with reinforcing fillers is modelled using a modified boundary surface model and implemented uniaxially. READ MORE

5. Modeling of Elasticity and Damping for Filled Elastomers
Abstract : Elasticity and damping are significant properties of rubber, taken advantage of in engineering applications. It is therefore important that the constitutive model accurately captures these aspects of the mechanical behavior. READ MORE
