17. Mehanics of Rock Fragmentation Static and Dynamic Laboratory Testing Applied to Aggregate Production
Abstract : Knowing the strength properties of rocks is essential for calculating the stability of natural slopes, constructions in and on rock, excavations, blasting geometry, crushing, and drilling. When rock and rock masses are subjected to either dynamic or static loads, the tensile strength is determined by tests appropriate to the load type. READ MORE

18. Modelling of thin and imperfect interfaces : Tools and preliminary study
Abstract : For quite some time, the strive for more efficient acoustic absorbers keepsincreasing, driven by a number of psycho-physiological studies on health re-lated dangers of noise exposure. As the global wealth increases and with itthe global expectation of quieter living and working environments, manifestedin both politics and research, an important market for sound absorbing andnoise control systems develops in all industrialised countries. 19. Wet magnetic concentration for weakly magnetic mineral fines and ultrafines
Abstract : The first objective of the thesis was to reveal the characteristic magnetic behaviour of natural weakly magnetic minerals (such as hematite and chromite), and the size limits of the particles recoverable by the existing modem high intensity and high gradient magnetic separators. The second objective was to enhance the particle aggregation andlor the magnetic response for wet magnetic concentration of the ultrafines which escaped from the separators. READ MORE

20. Can we go circular? : On the multifaceted challenges of facilitating shredder fines valorisation in the Swedish context
Abstract : In concomitance with the growing developments around the circular economy concept in the region, the resource recovery and recycling of industrial production residues is increasingly being envisaged in the European Union and its member states. The role of the recycling industry has become ever important in this context. READ MORE
